Chief Conservator of Forests Chairs Review on Waste Management in Doodhpathri
SRINAGAR, KASHMIR — The Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir, convened a meeting to address the urgent need for sustainable waste management in the ecologically sensitive Doodhpathri landscape. Attended by senior officials—including the Conservator of Forests (Srinagar Circle), the CEO of the Doodhpathri Development Authority, and the DFO of the Pir Panjal Forest Division—the session focused on streamlining inter-departmental efforts to mitigate the environmental impact of rising tourism. The Chair emphasized the implementation of "Leave No Trace" principles and the strengthening of waste disposal infrastructure to protect the region's fragile alpine ecosystem.
