Wellness Camp at 19 Budang GPU

A Wellness Camp was organised by 19 Budang GPU at the GPU Hall on 12th March 2026. Local residents attended the camp and benefited from the wellness services and basic check-ups provided during the programme.

A training on Good Hygienic Practices (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) was successfully organized by the Sikkim Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd., Sikkim for dairy farmers at 19 Budang Gram Panchayat Unit, Soreng District.

The programme aimed to create awareness among farmers on maintaining proper hygiene in milk production and handling to ensure safe and high-quality dairy products. Farmers actively participated and benefited from the informative session.

A Special Gram Sabha was held at 19 Budang GPU in the presence of Panchayat representatives, GRS, Mate, and Job Card holders to apprise the public about the Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin), recently passed by both Houses of Parliament.

The programme focused on creating awareness about the key provisions and benefits of the new Act for effective grassroots implementation.

The initiative aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat for strengthening rural employment security and sustainable livelihoods.

Today, 19 Budang Gram Panchayat Unit held a Special Gram Sabha on the Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) with the active participation of Panchayat members, GPU staff, SHGs, NGOs, ICDS team, PHSC officials, and representatives from various community groups. Discussions focused on plans for the overall development of our area. 🤝

📄 A key highlight was the signing of an MoU between the Panchayat and multiple stakeholders with the aim of achieving 100% progress under the Socially Just and Socially Secure Village goals. The agreement focuses on working together, pooling resources, and ensuring every target is met through collective effort.

Together, we’re moving towards a stronger, fairer, and more secure Budang! 🌱💪
