The Final Day of Six Day Long Sensitization & Orientation Training of Tourist guides,Drivers and Hotel Front Office Managers,organised by Pelling Tourism Dev.Association commenced at the Auditorium Hall of Pelling SSS,today.
The sensitization programme is scheduled to 18th to till 23rd July,2023.
Hon'ble Minister cm 02Yangthang Constituency MLA Shri Bhim Hang Limboo grace the event as a Chief Guest and accompanied by SBS Chairman Shri DB Gurung, SIDICO Chairman Shri Janak Gurung,Yuksum Tashiding CLC President Shri Basan Rai,Principal Pelling SSS Shri YN Rana,Bazar Officer GNP Shri DR Sharma,Resource persons,Homestay proprietors of Darap,Drivers,Tourist guides,Student participations of Damber Singh Limboo Memorial SSS Darap and Pelling SSS,members of PTDA,media persons,stake holders,officials from the district and Dignitaries witness the event.
Minister Bhim Hang Limboo in his address expressed his gratitude to PTDA for inviting him as Chief guest in the final day of sixth long day programme and applauded PTDA for initiating such useful trainings of drivers,tourist guides and hoteliers to specialize them towards their profession in the District. Even he described Manny points and facelities which Sikkim Government specially prepared for the tourism stakeholders.He reiterated that the drivers are the lead ambassadors to guide both foreign and domestic tourists coming in the state and should be well-disciplined to guide them amicably as their own guests.
He further motivated the trainees to reap the fruits of the training and apply it in their practical life and urged them to keep detached from the use of undesirable substances(Drugs)and alcoholism to maintain good rapport and famity to promote tourism in the state.
The programme also felicitated the Chief guest and special guests and other persons who really gave a valuable contribution towards the society.
Lastly organising committee placed a sincere thanks to all the invited guest and the all the participants for the various schools, homestay,hotels and Driver Association.
