Realizing the need of a General Hospital in the area some responsible residents of greater shyamnagar, representing various sectors of society, met on 25th july, 2004 to exchange their views for the first time.After this to get the support of the common people, a large member of area wise meetings were held which leads to the birth of a completely charitable non political organization, Brihattara

committee. this committee got registered under West Bengal Society Act on 13th january 2006. ACTIVITIES :
1) From 18th january 2006, Sanjibani Sebasadan starts with the physicians both Allopathic and homoeopathic are giving their valuable advices and treatment everyday, volunterily.
2) Till date nearly 50,000 patients got free treatment from Sanjibani Sebasadan.
3) Sample files of the medicines are distributed amongst the poor people by Sanjibani sebasadan.
4) 32 eye-camps has been organised with the tie up of M.P. Birla Arvind eye clinic & Rotary Narayanan Nethralaya, kolkata nearly 5000-6000 people got free advices & got their vision back after Cataract operation.
5) 4th October, 2015 free Heart check up camp has been promoted with the tie up of R.N. Tagore Heart speciality hospital, kolkata. Many of the people has got valuable advices & proper treatment from the eminent doctors of the hospital.
6) Sanjibani Sebasadan has organised WORLD AIDS DAY & WORLD HEALTH HAND WASH YEAR , directed by WHO.
7) Many of the people has been benifited & realised how to protect their health.
8) Except this, free health check up camps along with Blood donation camp has been organised time to time to serve the poor ailing people. MOTTO :
