**Udhyam Yuva Fest Celebrated at Govt. Polytechnic College Shopian**
Shopian, [27-09-2025]: The Govt Polytechnic College Shopian in collabration DE&CC shopian today hosted the **Udhyam Yuva Fest**, a vibrant celebration of youth talent, skill development, and entrepreneurship. The event brought together students, faculty, government officials, and budding entrepreneurs in a shared spirit of innovation and self-reliance.
Dr. Nasir Wani, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, graced the occasion as the **Chief Guest**. The event was also attended by the Principal ITI Shopian, AD Employment and others officers & officials of Employment Department and several successful entrepreneurs who shared their experiences and insights with the young participants.
The program began with an **inaugural address by the Govt Principal of Polytechnic Shopian shri manzoor Ahmad Kumar**, who highlighted the importance of organizing such festivals to encourage skill-based learning and entrepreneurial spirit among the youth.
Mr. Aslam, Employment Officer, delivered a detailed presentation on **Mission Yuva**, elaborating on the various government initiatives and opportunities available for the younger generation. The **Superintendent of ITI Shopian shri Fida Hussain underscored the need to embrace entrepreneurship as a career choice and emphasized its vital role in realizing the vision of **Mission YUVA**.
The highlight of the fest was the recognition of talent across multiple competitions. The **toppers of quiz, essay writing, painting, and speech competitions** were felicitated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Nasir Ahmad lone, ADDC shopian. Their achievements were celebrated as a testament to the creativity, knowledge, and skills of the district’s youth.
The event concluded with a warm **vote of thanks by Shri Shahid Khowja**, acknowledging the contributions of all dignitaries, participants, and organizers who made the fest a grand success.
