“Hamari Rasoi Hamari Zimmedari” was successfully held on 1st December 2024 at Hotel East Bourne, Shimla by the Oil Marketing Companies. The event aimed to raise awareness about LPG Handling and Safety in Cooking while celebrating culinary skills.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation, with 11 participants showcasing their cooking talents while adhering to safe LPG handling practices. The panel of judges, included Mr Sanjeev Puri, HOD, IHM Kufri amongst others, evaluated the participants on criteria such as LPG safety, dish quality, presentation, and cleanliness. Deputy Mayor of Shimla, Smt. Uma Kaushal Madam was the Chief Guest accompanied by Mrs Mamta Goel, president of the Maitri NGO, Shimla.

The winners of the competition were:
• 1st Place: Sonika Kumari
• 2nd Place: Sarita Sharma
• 3rd Place: Anita Sood

The event left a lasting impact on participants and the audience about the importance of responsible LPG use in everyday cooking. Mr Vikram Singh, Area Sales Officer of HPCL along with distributors of all Oil Marketing Companies in Shimla region were present on the occasion and best delivery men of each LPG agency were awarded by the Chief Guest on the occasion.
