Dr. Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (MSHIPA) organized an engaging Astronomy Session on 24th March 2026 to explore the wonders of the night sky. Participants had the unique opportunity to observe planets and stars through a telescope, making it a truly enriching experience.
The session was conducted by astronomer Ms. Pooja Sharma, who shared valuable insights into celestial bodies and space science. Officers and participants of the institute actively took part in the event, making it both informative and memorable.

MSHIPA has organised one day workshop on 19.03.2026 under the Chairpersonship of Smt. Rupali Thakur IAS Director MSHIPA with all the Training Institutes of the State with a view to have their inputs on the concept note circulated by the DOPT & CBC to design a Comprehensive policy framework to institutionalise shift in the capacity building from the episodic training to performance linked performance.

Dr. Manmohan Singh Himachal Institute of Public Administration (MSHIPA), on 26th July 2025, organized the 1st Umbrella Committee Meeting of SAMRIDH Himachal-2045 under the chairmanship of Sh. Prabodh Saxena, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Himachal Pradesh at the HP Secretariat, Shimla.
During the meeting, Sh. Prabodh Saxena launched the “Citizen Engagement Questionnaire” for SAMRIDH Himachal-2045. The questionnaire seeks to gather public input on development priorities for Himachal Pradesh. It aims to ensure that the Vision 2045 reflects the aspirations and lived realities of its citizens. The exercise promotes inclusive governance by engaging individuals, institutions, and Himachali diaspora. It also helps identify gaps, validate proposed strategies, and contribute to the state's long-term development roadmap. The findings of this survey will inform the preparation of SAMRIDH Himachal-2045 Vision Document.

MSHIPA concluded part-2 of the SAMRIDH Himachal-2045 colloquium series from 22-24 March. This unique event brought together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to brainstorm on a 20-year sustainable economic vision for the State.

Key attendees included the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sh. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in an online session with Sh. Sam Pitroda, Sh. Salman Khurshid and Hon’ble Deputy CM Sh. Mukesh Agnihotri, along with leaders representing industry, civil society and bureaucracy.

In his closing remarks, the Chief Secretary Sh. Prabodh Saxena indicated to take the initiative forward toward its final aim of preparing a comprehensive 20 year Vision Document for the State.
