is inform to all the SSA Teachers of East Jaintia Hills District, Accountant of DMC Khliehriat informed salary for the month of November, December 2017 and January, February 2018 for SSA Upper Primary Schools had transferred to all the Account of the respective SMCs for disbursement to the teachers today evening.Kindly contact your Secretary SMC for speedy transfer to the respective teacher account. For SSA UP Schools SMC can transfer the salary to teachers account by tomorrow.

For SSA Lower Primary Schools the funds had been transferred today to the respective BMC for further necessary action, hopefully it will be transfer to SMC account by Monday or Tuesday.

To solve the problems of non receiving of salary in time by SSA & RMSA Teachers:

have been observed that the contractual teachers working under SSA and RMSA are facing extreme difficulties in financial problems due to delayed in receiving of salary even after releasing by the SSA-RMSA Society and implementation of E-transfer system.

In this context, we are preparing a representation to suggest the State Government for implementation of PFMS /DBT platform for paying the salary of teachers recruited under SSA & RMSA.

It means once this system is implemented cheque will be not be used for paying the salary of teachers and it will be transfer to bank accounts of the beneficiary (Teachers) and can also track the usage of funds till it reaches the last beneficiary.

05.04.2018:

per my conversation with FC of SSA today evening, he informed me since Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan State Education Mission Authority of Meghalaya (SSA-SEMAM) have to maintain the utilization of funds within a financial year for 12 months only, 4 months salary (Nov 2017 - Feb 2018) have been transferred today (05.04.2018) from the SSA-SEMAM Account to all the Account of the DMCs for transfer to the respective SMCs for disbursement to the teachers, so salary of March 2018 will be transferred to the DMCs Account before the end of April.

not releasing for 5 months at the same time: If the funds release till the month of March the calculation will be 13 months in a year which is not possible and it will creates problems in maintaining the account. So for smooth functioning and maintaining of account it was first released only for 4 months.

For the time being all SSA teachers are requested not to panic, and to be patience and cooperate with the SPD office.

SSA TEACHERS TO GET SALARY TODAY AFTER 5 MONTHS
THURSDAY, APRIL 5, 2018
SHILLONG: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has said the five months’ pending salary of SSA teachers will be released on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons after meeting the members of the Meghalaya Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan School Association (MSSASA) here on Thursday, Sangma said some paper works were left for releasing the salary.

It may be mentioned that the Centre recently released Rs 135 crore for clearing the pending salary of SSA teachers in the state.

During the meeting, the teachers also raised other issues.“We told them we are examining the matter and if all the stakeholders play their role and part, education will change,” Sangma said while maintaining that the quality of education has to go up. The delegation of teachers had earlier met Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui here on Wednesday. Sangma said arrears of approximately Rs 70 crore for the SSA teachers are still pending and the state government is working on the matter.

(04.04.2018) called on the Hon'ble Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma Sir at his chamber as a mark of honoring him in recognition for his outstanding leadership, dedication and commitment served above and beyond the call of duty towards the Welfare of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers' in the State and for his intervention to expedite the release of 5 months pending salary for the period from November 2017 to March 2018.

We also discussed for the release of 8 months pending Arrears salary of last financial year 2016-17 for the period from July 2016 to February 2017, issues on D. El. Ed Course of 1st batch (2013) and 2nd batch (2015), Maternity Leave, merging/regularization the service of the 12481 SSA Teachers and other issues. It's a productive meeting and we are very happy with the outcomes of our meeting with Hon’ble Chief Minister and he had assured to help us.

(04.04.2018) called on Shri Lahkmen Rymbui Hon’ble Minister i /c Education Department at his chamber as a mark of honoring him for his hardwork and commitment to released the 5 months pending salary for the period from November 2017 to March 2018 and also discussed on the issue of D. El. Ed Course of 1st batch (2013) results and 2nd batch (2015) 2nd year class. We are very happy with the outcome of our meeting with Hon’ble Minister and hope that the problems of the D. El. Ed trainees of 1st & 2nd batch will be solve at the earliest.

SALARY UPDATE:

News My Dear SSA Teachers: 5 months Salary w.e.f November 2017 to March 2018 released by the Government.

Our lives have been turned upside down, but we are getting back on track and looking forward for the best in the near future. The Lord has answered our prayers and pour his blessings upon each one of us.

All these were happened because of the responsibility taken up by the newly formed Government Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) lead by the National People's Party under the leadership of Conrad K Sangma Sir as the Hon’ble Chief Minister.

We really owe our sincere thanks towards our Hon'ble Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma Sir the leader of the team, Sh. Lahkmen Rymbui Hon’ble Minister i /c Education Department and officials of SSA-SEMAM for their hardwork and dedication towards the Welfare of the SSA Teachers.

In a very short span of time, that was only 24 days went by the newly formed Government of our State doing a great job on helping the SSA Teachers. This is really a tough task and it is not that much easier for the government to workout all the matters and solve the problems within a short span of time..but Conrad K Sangma Sir and his teams had proved it that nothing is impossible if we have the desire and willingness to helps our people's and solve their problems.

We on behalf of The team teachers of SSA we do really appreciated the Newly formed Government of Meghalaya lead by the party of NPP. Long live our MDA Government and we do hope that your way to proceed ahead will be stronger and more stronger with God shower his blessing over and over the teams members of the Government.

God Give them bless and shower your love to all the people of the team Government and to all the citizens of meghalaya by letting this New Government to work for the betterment and welfare of the people of the state as a whole, this is my prayer to God.

Salary update:

thanks to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sir Conrad K Sangma and Account & F.C Sh. Bhattacharjee and officials of SSA Society who made it happen, which GOI had released the funds to the Government of Meghalaya yesterday evening. As per information, after taking sanction from Finance Dept, Govt of Meghalaya, files will sent to Treasury Branch for transferred of funds to the account of SSA Society hopefully by today evening. Then it will be transferred by SSA Society to the respective DMCs Account on the same day or by Saturday if no delay due to unavoidable circumstances and problems in technical system.

27.03.2018 I had a conversation with the Hon'ble CM, whether it's there any possibility to get first at least the 5 months pending Salary within March as the Government is thoroughgoing on finding ways for allocation of funds for payment of pending Arrears salary of last financial year 2016-17 as the 12481 Teachers working under the budget head of SSA are facing a lots of difficulties to managed and maintaining their livelihood and families which he (CM) informed me that the departments concern are working very hard on it to make possible for payment of 5 months Salary, and committed to release within this month.

It is also requested to all SSA Teachers to please kindly cooperate, as the Association follow up the matter with the Departments concern and the Account and F.C of SSA.

Hope with the hardwork and commitment of the Hon'ble Chief Minister Sir Conrad K Sangma, the hopes of all the SSA Teachers' is renewed that justice shall prevails after a long wait.

26.03.2018 MSSASA submitted a representation to the Chief Minister of Meghalaya Sir Conrad K Sangma seeking his intervention and take up the issue with the Competent Authority of NIOS for arrangement of new date for Meghalaya for conducting the D.El.Ed 1st Year (1st Semester) Examination 2018 for 2017-19 session for the subject code 503 which is supposed to be held on 29th April, 2018 which falls on Sunday.

25 March 2018:

NIOS has decided to conduct the first D. El. Ed examination for the untrained in-service Elementary Teachers registered across the Country for 2017-19 session for the subjects 501,502 and 503 respectively on the tentative dates 27th, 28th and 29th of April 2018.

On this regards Rashi Sharma Director (TE) MHRD, Department of School Education & Literacy, GOI directed all the Principal Secretary /Secretary Education of all States/UTs to direct the Nodal Officer for identification of the Study Centres which will be use as Examination Centres and forwarded the details list to the Regional Centres of NIOS concerned by 28th March, 2018 positively for further necessary actions.
