The State-Level Social Justice Assembly in Shillong on 3rd September 2025 held at KJP Assembly Conference Hall, Shillong has brought together various government departments and officials, representatives from Schools, CSO representatives, and village representatives to deliberate on the findings of the Social Audit of schemes implemented under MoSJE. The State Social Justice Assembly reviews the action taken reports, supported by evidence and recommends corrective or suggestive actions to address any issues and guide future course correction for the welfare schemes under MoSJE.

Following the 2024 amendment to the MCPPSSA, social audits are now mandated for all schemes and projects—whether listed in the notified Schedule I of the MCPPSSA, 2017 or subsequently notified by the Programme Implementation & Evaluation Department. In line with this, MSSAT initiated entry meetings, including those held on 25 June 2025 with the PHE Department and MSSDS.

Following the amendment to the MCPPSSA in 2024, social audits are now required for all schemes and projects—whether listed in the notified Schedule I of the MCPPSSA, 2017 or as notified by the Programme Implementation & Evaluation Department. MSSAT has initiated entry meetings for the same, on the 23 & 24 June, 2025 with the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department and the Power Department

On 28th January 2025, a pilot for the Gram Panchayat Nirnay Mobile Application by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj was conducted at Mawkhar Marbaniang, Krang, Sohiong Block, East Khasi Hills District. The event was organized by the Meghalaya Society for Social Audit & Transparency. Villagers actively participated and expressed their appreciation for the social audit, as it helped them better understand scheme entitlements and the audit process, enabling them to gain more benefits from the CnRD schemes in the state. Officials from the Block Office and the State Rural Employment Society were also present to address issues and provide clarity on decisions taken and key decision points.

District Level Social Justice events were successfully conducted by the Meghalaya Society for Social Audit and Transparency in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya.
The first event took place on January 10, 2025, at the DRDA Conference Hall in West Jaintia Hills District, followed by another
on January 15, 2025, at DRDA Tura in West Garo Hills District.
These events focused on promoting social justice and raising awareness in the region.
