A one-day sensitization workshop on the Climate-Adaptive Community-Based Water Harvesting Project in Meghalaya was held at State Convention Centre, Shillong, on 25th March 2026, bringing together key stakeholders, implementing firms, contractors, and representatives from Asian Development Bank.

The workshop focused on critical discussions regarding project progress, quality control, contractual obligations, environmental and social safeguard compliance, and bill preparation, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and coordination among all implementing partners.

This program is important as it strengthened the state’s readiness to implement climate-adaptive water harvesting solutions, addressed potential challenges in project ex*****on, and reinforced community-centric approaches that ensure sustainable benefits for local populations. The event highlighted Meghalaya’s commitment to delivering practical, long-term water solutions that safeguard both communities and the environment.
