Annual APY Felicitation Award was organized by PFRDA on 20-05-2026. Meghalaya Rural Bank was conferred the “APY Annual Award of Inspirational Achiever” for an exceptional achievement of 164.40% of Annual Targets. Meghalaya Rural Bank stood 3rd amongst all the Regional Rural Banks in the country. Chairman received the award on behalf of the Bank.

Grand Opening of Namdong Branch
On 16th May 2026 the 90th branch of Meghalaya Rural Bank was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Mr S Dhar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister in the presence of Chairman, General Manager and Regional Manager-1. During the Chief Guest’s speech, he appreciated the Bank who upheld the Government’s directive and delivered the branch in record time. He particularly praised the Bank’s ambience and commented that he felt it no lesser than any other commercial Bank. Further, during the program, 5 Digital accounts were opened, and the passbook was handed over by the Chief Guest.
