The strength of unity and collective cooperation with all the dedicated office bearers of BJP Meghalaya today, in the gracious presence of our State President Shri Rikman G. Momin and our entire team, is a reflection of our commitment to serving the people of Meghalaya wholeheartedly.

Our mission is to awaken and uplift the people from social and economic backwardness through awareness, guidance, and service. I had the privilege to share and explain the principles and vision of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a party that truly respects and cares for the poor, the needy, and the underprivileged.

The BJP believes that every individual deserves dignity, equal opportunity, and the right to own a permanent home and live with self-respect alongside others in society. The party stands firmly with those facing poverty and hunger by extending support and assistance to help them overcome hardship.

Special emphasis is given to farmers, whose hard work feeds the nation. The government continues to encourage and empower them by promoting education for their children and enhancing the value of indigenous agricultural products and traditional food items.

The BJP also places great importance on the empowerment of women by encouraging and training them to become self-reliant and financially independent. Through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), women are inspired to become entrepreneurs and contributors to the growth and stability of their families and society.

Another major concern is unemployment among the youth. Various skill development programs and training initiatives are being introduced to encourage young people to become self-dependent rather than relying solely on government jobs. These efforts aim to create opportunities, confidence, and sustainable livelihoods for the younger generation.

The BJP is also committed to safeguarding the nation by taking strict measures against illegal infiltration and protecting the rights and identity of the indigenous people of our land.

The Bharatiya Janata Party belongs to every citizen of India 🇮🇳 — rich or poor, educated or uneducated — without discrimination based on religion, caste, or community. The party believes in unity, mutual respect, and strengthening the nation by removing divisions and promoting harmony among all people.

My heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Kong Smt. Merryda Khongsit, President of Mahila Morcha 26 Shella Mandal, for inspiring and encouraging more women to actively participate in the Yoga Day programme held on 21/05/26.

Yoga has become an important part of our daily lives, helping us dedicate time to care for ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually through exercise and healthy living. In today’s fast-changing society, it is essential that we develop the habit of setting aside special time to nurture and protect our well-being, especially for women, senior citizens, and the younger generation.

Regular physical exercise and Yoga not only help prevent various illnesses and health challenges but also guide our youth away from harmful influences and unhealthy activities that negatively affect society and community life. A healthy society begins with healthy individuals, disciplined minds, and positive lifestyles.

Let us all embrace Yoga as a meaningful way to strengthen both our body and spirit, and as a path towards a healthier, happier, and more harmonious society.

The 12-year journey of Prime Minister has brought remarkable transformation across many sectors of the nation. Under his visionary leadership, India has witnessed significant progress in national security, development, women empowerment, environmental protection, and social welfare.

The Government has strengthened the nation’s security and maintained peace by taking firm action against terrorism, illegal infiltration, and threats to the sovereignty of the country. The safety and stability of the nation continue to remain a top priority.

Great emphasis has also been placed on protecting Mother Nature through cleanliness drives, environmental conservation, tree plantation initiatives, and promoting awareness to safeguard the environment for future generations.

India’s rapid progress on the global stage has further strengthened international cooperation and partnerships with many countries, contributing to the nation’s economic growth and development.

One of the most impactful achievements has been the empowerment of women. Women today are being encouraged and supported to excel in business, entrepreneurship, leadership, governance, and national service. From the President of India to women serving in the armed forces and various leadership positions, women have been given greater opportunities, recognition, and respect. Several welfare schemes and initiatives have also been specially designed for the upliftment and empowerment of women across the country.

During these 12 years of leadership, from 2014 till today, India has seen rapid development from the smallest villages to the largest cities. Rural communities that once lacked basic facilities are now receiving housing, clean drinking water, free food grains, better road connectivity, and improved agricultural support for farmers.

The vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” aims to transform India into a developed nation by the 100th anniversary of Independence, ensuring inclusive growth and prosperity for every citizen.

Special importance has also been given to health, fitness, and self-care through the promotion of Yoga. Citizens are being encouraged to adopt Yoga as a healthy lifestyle practice to prevent diseases naturally, improve physical and mental well-being, and lead a disciplined and healthy life without excessive dependence on medicines.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, India continues to move forward with confidence, unity, and the vision of a stronger and self-reliant nation.

As a woman, an elder sister, and a mother, I have deeply understood the responsibilities, struggles, and challenges faced by women in the state of Meghalaya. We are empowered and honored by the values and respect passed down to us by our ancestors. Before becoming a protector, a woman is a preserver of culture and dignity, a peacemaker, a teacher, and one who upholds respect for men as the strong foundation of the family. She also stands courageously against injustice while carrying the responsibilities of the household.

Women possess the wisdom and vision to contribute positively to society while nurturing and strengthening the family. Therefore, with unity and dedication, I have taken this responsibility to uplift the coming generations who look forward with hope and aspirations for a better future. According to the changing times, we must become capable and responsible leaders who can guide the people toward the progress and transformation they truly desire.
