Strengthening Local Spice Value Chains for Market Readiness

Shri Kayio Kayina Th., Managing Director, NERCORMS, undertook field monitoring and supervision of the project “Value Addition of Naga Chilli & Other Spice Crops for Market Readiness through Vacuum Drying Technology in Assam and Nagaland.”

Implemented by NERCORMS in association with partner NGO *Pro Rural* and FPC *Ososhii Greens Pvt. Ltd.*, with funding support from the North Eastern Council (NEC), Ministry of DoNER, Government of India, the project focuses on strengthening local spice value chains through improved processing, value addition and market readiness.

The visit focused on reviewing field-level progress, interacting with the project team and community stakeholders, and assessing interventions aimed at connecting local spice production with value-added market opportunities.
