Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally in Shillong From August 22 to 25

The Recruiting Office (Headquarters), Shillong will conduct the Army Agniveer Recruitment Rally for shortlisted candidates from all districts of Meghalaya at 58 Gorkha Training Centre, Happy Valley, Shillong, from August 22 to 25, 2026.

The rally will be held for candidates shortlisted under Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Tradesman (10th Pass) and Agniveer Tradesman (8th Pass) categories.

All shortlisted candidates have been asked to report at 58 Gorkha Training Centre by 3:30 AM strictly on the date mentioned in their admit cards.

Candidates must carry their admit cards and all other original documents as specified in the Rally Notification. Emails have already been sent to shortlisted candidates informing them of the schedule.

As per the schedule, candidates from East Khasi Hills, East Jaintia Hills and Eastern West Khasi Hills will report on August 22.

Those from West Khasi Hills, Ri-Bhoi and South West Khasi Hills will report on August 23. Candidates from South West Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills, East Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, North Garo Hills and South Garo Hills will report on August 24.

The rally will continue till August 25 as per the recruitment schedule.

Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson, District Disaster Management Authority, East Khasi Hills District felicitated the SDRF for their quick response and dedicated service to disaster management especially during the recent incident at Lapalang. Other agencies were also felicitated.

The passing out parade of the 5th Basic Training Course for 118 newly recruited non-combatant personnel was held in Tura on 22nd July, 2026. The Director of Civil Defence and Inspector General, SDRF, Shillong, Shri Merinpole K Sangma, graced the event as the chief guest, inspected the parade and witnessed the Nishan Toli ceremony, which formed an important part of the passing out parade.
The Divisional Commandant, Home Guards, Tura, Shri PT Sangma administered the oath during the solemn occasion followed by an impressive march past. Tranees who excelled in physical training, drill performance and overall conduct during the course were given special awards.
