Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra

On the occasion of Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, Regional Fodder Station (RFS) Srinagar organised a Tiranga Rally at the farm premises with active participation of the station staff.

The rally was organised to celebrate the spirit of national pride, unity and patriotism and to spread the message of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

Tiranga is a symbol of our unity, pride and national spirit.

Regional Fodder Station (RFS), Srinagar, organized a one-day Farmers Fair–Training and Regular Fodder Seed Kits Distribution Programme at Gassi Mohalla, Sherpathri, Ganderbal, in collaboration with FPO Sherpathri, Ganderbal.

Farmers received free-of-cost seed kits of non-leguminous fodder grasses, including Annual Rye Grass, Tall Fescue and Orchard Grass, sufficient for sowing one kanal of land.

The initiative promotes quality fodder cultivation, ensures year-round availability of nutritious feed and supports improved livestock productivity through scientific fodder production practices.

Regional Fodder Station (RFS), Srinagar, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India, organised a one-day Farmers Fair–Training and Regular Fodder Seed Kit Distribution Programme on 11 August 2026 at Rabitar, Ganderbal, in collaboration with FPO Sherpathri, Ganderbal.

The programme equipped farmers with technical training and practical guidance on scientific fodder cultivation, production and management. Free fodder seed kits comprising annual and perennial grasses were distributed to promote quality fodder production and ensure a regular supply of nutritious green fodder for livestock, supporting improved livestock productivity.

🌱 Farmers Fair–Training & Fodder Seed Kit Distribution Programme 🌱

Station organized a one-day Farmers Fair–Training and Regular Fodder Seed Kit Distribution Programme on 11 August 2026 at Rabitar, Ganderbal, in collaboration with FPO Sherpathri, Ganderbal.

👨‍🌾 During the programme, farmers received technical guidance on scientific fodder cultivation, crop management, harvesting and utilization.

🌾 Fodder seed kits comprising various annual and perennial grasses were distributed free of cost to farmers for sowing in one kanal area, with the aim of promoting quality fodder production and improving livestock productivity.

🤝 RFS Srinagar remains committed to supporting farmers through quality fodder seed, technical training and field-level extension services.

The National Livestock Mission – Entrepreneurship Development Programme (NLM-EDP) is enhancing fodder security through sustainable infrastructure development. In the period from 2021-22 to 2025-26, the programme has added capacity to produce 1.81 lakh MTPA of fodder, thus improving the availability of feed and contributing to sustainable livestock development.

NLM-EDP is encouraging sustainable livelihoods, scientific livestock farming, and rural economic development through the approval of 3,843 projects, the establishment of 3,714 livestock farming units, and the assistance of 129 fodder production units.

Regional Fodder Station (RFS), Srinagar organized two one-day Farmers' Fair, Training & Fodder Seed Kit Distribution Programmes at Ganderbal, Jammu & Kashmir.

A total of 80 fodder seed kits were distributed free of cost to tribal farmers, along with technical guidance on scientific fodder cultivation to promote quality fodder production and enhance livestock productivity.
