তাৰিখ: ১২ ডিচেম্বৰ, ২০২৫ ইং

আজি সাপটগ্ৰাম পৌৰসভাত Solid Waste Management Plant আৰু MRF Centre (Material Recovery Facility)-ৰ শিলান্যাস কাৰ্য সম্পন্ন হয়। MRF প্ৰকল্পৰ জৰিয়তে জাৱৰৰ পৰা কাগজ, প্লাষ্টিক, আইনা, ধাতু আদি পুনৰ্ব্যৱহাৰযোগ্য বস্তুবোৰ পৃথক কৰা হ'ব। লগতে ‘Waste to Compost’ প্ৰকল্পৰ মাধ্যমে জৈৱিক জাৱৰৰ পৰা পচন প্ৰক্ৰিয়াতেই মাটিৰ উৰ্বৰতা বৃদ্ধি কৰিব পৰা পচন-সাৰ (Compost) উৎপাদন কৰা হ'ব।

এই দুয়ো প্ৰকল্পই পৰিবেশ দুষণ হ্ৰাস, জাৱৰ ব্যৱস্থাপনাৰ উন্নতি আৰু এটা পৰিচ্ছন্ন নগৰ গঠনত গুৰুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন কৰিব।

"NAMASTE Day" Celebration - Safety Equipment Distribution and Training
On the occasion of "NAMASTE Day" on July 16, 2025, Sapatgram Municipal Board (MB) organized a significant initiative to enhance the safety and well-being of sanitation workers. Safety equipment was distributed to all sanitation workers under Sapatgram MB, and comprehensive training was provided on maintaining personal health and hygiene during waste collection and segregation.

- Safety Equipment Distribution: Provision of essential safety gear to sanitation workers to minimize health risks.
- Training on Safety Protocols: Hands-on training on proper use of safety equipment and best practices for maintaining personal health and hygiene.
- Hand Hygiene Training: Special emphasis on proper handwashing techniques to prevent the spread of infections.

As a run up to the World Environment Day (WED-2025), the 10th Episode of SwachhTalks is being organized by the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Govt. of India on 4th June 2025 (Wednesday) from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

The theme of this year’s World Environment Day is ‘Ending Plastic Pollution Globally’ and as part of special initiative, the Urban local bodies are to conduct special activities including:

i. Plastic Out -Fabric In: Deployment of the cloth bag alternatives vending machines/ kiosks at high footfall / tourist / spiritual importance etc.
ii. Plastic Collection Drives Centers
iii. Swachh Bharat - Harit Bharat: Green Pledge
