Department of social work,Sambalpur University in collaboration with Trilochan Netralaya successfully organized Free eye checkup camp at the university. 231 patients got the benefit of the eye checkup and referral services on 04.02.2025

The Department of Social Work at Sambalpur University organised a workshop on ‘Health and Livelihood Promotion’ on 18th and 19th January, 2025. There were sessions including training on First Aid, the discussion on the importance of blood donation, the public health care system, and organic framing with livelihood promotion. Resource persons, including Ms. Rosaline Tirkey, Secretary and Dr. Raja Ram Sarangi from the Indian Red Cross Society, Sambalpur, Dr. Anupa Toppo from the Blood Centre, Burla, Dr. Kulwant Lakra from SPM, Attabira; and Mr. Ashok Panigrahi from SARC, Sambalpur interacted with the students.

The Department of Social Work, Sambalpur University organised a one day workshop on Child Rights on 23.09.2024. Mr. Prasanta Padhi, Chairperson, CWC and Mr Byomakesh Panigrahi, Legal cm Probation Officer, Sambalpur were the invited speakers and discussed on social and legal aspect of Child rights.
