On 07.09.2026 at about 11:15 hrs, the on-duty PF party recovered one black-coloured bag from Ballygunge Railway Station containing cash amounting to ₹9,100/-, one Samsung mobile phone, and some documents.
Subsequently, the recovered bag along with the cash of ₹9,100/- and all other articles was handed over to the rightful owner, namely Sudarshan Halder (66 years), S/O Late Jotindranath Halder, resident of Lord No. 27, P.S. Raidighi, P.O. Pashchim Kultali, District South 24 Parganas, after proper verification of his identity and completion of all necessary legal formalities. West Bengal Police

On 29.08.2026, a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was jointly organised by Adra GRPS and Adra EF Line with the assistance of the medical team of Raghunathpur S.S. Hospital.
A total of 31 persons voluntarily donated blood, comprising 7 GRP Officers/Force, 12 Civic Volunteers, 4 EF Line personnel, 2 RPF personnel of Adra, 2 SMR Adra personnel and 4 members of the general public.
The programme concluded peacefully and successfully.

Recovery and Handover of Missing Ladies Bag

On 17.08.2026, Panskura GRPS received an information from a female passenger and Digha GRPS regarding the loss of a ladies bag containing a gold chain, cash and other valuables during her journey from Digha to Howrah.
Upon receipt of the information, Panskura GRPS conducted a thorough search/check at Panskura Railway Station and successfully recovered the missing ladies bag along with all its contents.
Subsequently, the owner, along with her friend, arrived at Panskura GRPS. After proper verification of her identity and ownership, the recovered bag, including the gold chain and other articles, was duly handed over to the actual owner.
Particulars of the Recovered and Made-Over Bag:
One white-coloured ladies bag containing:
Gold chain – 6 grams
Cash – ₹2,000/-
Voter ID Card
Aadhaar Card
Driving Licence
ATM Cards
Cosmetics and other daily-use articles
Thus, the missing bag and all its contents were successfully recovered and restored to the rightful owner after due verification.

Malda(T) GRPS Cracks Theft Case

On August 12, 2026, a complaint was received at Malda(T) GRPS regarding theft of a bag containing a laptop, iPad, and valuable documents from Train No. 15288 SMVT Bengaluru Express at Malda(T) Railway Station.

Acting promptly, the Investigating Officer, assisted by other personnel of Malda(T) GRPS, detected the involvement of one accused. Subsequently, with the help of the Call Monitoring Cell, Siliguri GRP, the suspect was arrested and the stolen laptop recovered on 16.08.2026.

Further investigation led to recovery of gold ornaments worth over Rs.4,50,000/- and a Samsung mobile phone purchased using the complainant’s stolen credit card.

On 14.08.2026, the on-duty PF party of Berhampore Court R/S under Berhampur GRPS recovered one ladies’ bag from UP 63105 Sealdah–Lalgola MEMU Train at Berhampore Court R/S. The recovered bag contained (I)
One gold finger ring weight approximately 02 grams;
(ii) Cash amounting to ₹5,000/-; and
(III) One Realme mobile phone. After due verification, the recovered bag along with all the above articles was handed over to the actual owner, namely Ferdousi Khatun, W/O Supian Dafader, resident of Tungi, P.S. Nowda, Dist. Murshidabad. Bengal Police

তিনমাসের কন্যা সন্তানসহ নিখোঁজ মা-কে উদ্ধার করে হাওড়া জিআরপি জেলার অন্তর্গত শেওড়াফুলি জিআরপি থানার টিম ফিরিয়ে দিলো বীরভূমের নানুর থানার পুলিশের হাতে।

Yesterday on 14.08.26, afternoon an unsound female along with her 03 months old lap baby was recovered from the DN Bandel-Howrah local train by a team of Sheoraphuli GRPS, as she was making incoherent statements.

Subsequently, she was identified as one missing lady from Nanoor Police Station, Dist. Birbhum. It was revealed that she along with her lap baby had been missing since 10.08.2026. In this regard, Nanoor PS Case No. 202/26 dated 11.08.2026 was registered.

After making necessary communication with Nanoor PS, a team of Nanoor PS along with the relatives of the said woman came to this GRPS and took custody of both the mother and the baby. Accordingly, the baby and mother were handed over to Nanoor PS team.
