Punjab today achieved yet another milestone in terms of solar power sector with inauguration of the largest single location solar power plant in the state with capacity of 31.5 MW at village Mirpur Kalan in district Mansa. Farmers, who have given their land for this Rs. 200 crore project, would get return at the rate of Rs. 50,000 per acre with an annual increase of 5 percent. SAD-BJP government has installed solar lights in 1000 villages at a cost of Rs. 100 crore and our mission is to equip each of the 12000 villages in the state with solar lights in next 5 years.

ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਮਾਨਸਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਮੀਰਪੁਰ ਕਲਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ 31.5 ਮੈਗਾਵਾਟ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਪਲਾਂਟ ਸਥਾਪਿਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੂਰਜੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ 'ਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਪੁਲਾਂਘ ਪੁੱਟੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ 200 ਕਰੋੜ ਦੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ 5 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਾਧੇ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਏਕੜ ਦੇ 50,000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੀਮੇਂਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ-ਨਾਲੀਆਂ, ਸੋਲਰ ਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਕਰੀਬ 40 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਉਲੀਕੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਅਗਲੇ ਪੰਜ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
