Conducted raids and warned of strict actions [[22/10/2025]]

This evening, ADS team headed by DSP Roing had carried out multiple raids against o***m peddlers/consumers at different locations of Roing township specially at Ezengo, Mayu and Asali areas. Many strips of o***m were seized, destroyed/burned down and took action accordingly. They were strictly warned not to sale o***m/marijauna else legal actions will be taken.

Request o***m/marijuana consumers to shun such practices specially in front of own children. This way you are setting a bad example and making our youth's future very bleak.

LDV Police held a DRUGS MEETING with Assam and Arunachal Drugs Committee [[26/07/2025]]

Under the initiative of LDV Police headed by SP Roing, a Coordination cm Drugs meeting was held and discussed thoroughly to eradicate drugs from both the inter-state border district. The meeting was attended by Dy.SP Roing, OC Shantipur, Assam-Arunachal Peace Committee, HGB Kangkong, HGB Parbuk, Anti-Drugs Committee of Kangkong village, Anti-Drugs Committee of Parbuk Village, ADS Roing, President TMPK & his team, Deori Organisations, Gorkha Union, Kachari Union, President TAYPA and police officers/personnel of PS Shantipur. In the said meeting, the following decisions were taken by all the members such as;

1. Strict action and controlling of drugs consumers by Anti-Drugs Committee of Kangkong and Parbuk alongwith Police team.

2. Guarding of inter-state borders by Kongkong Anti-Drugs Committee and ADS Roing.

3. Complete prevention of drugs supply towards LDV and break supply chain if any.

4. Strict action and detention of every consumer's by police as a preventive measures.

5. Regular checking on suspicious person at highway by police and ADS team.

6. Strict undertaking from consumers not to indulge in drugs activities by ADC Kangkong & Parbuk village.

7. Conduct of drugs awareness program soon by ADC Kangkong and Parbuk in collaboration with LDV police.

8. Voluntarily participation in eradication of drugs and fighting tooth and nail.

9. Support police legal action and stand as witnesses in NDPS cases by all the members present specially GBs and Dolung Executive Members.

10. LDV police assured both the ADC of Kangkong and Parbuk in helping them financially, physically, morally, legally and materially in fighting against drugs.

11. Assam Organisations specially TMPK were assured to support and fighting against drugs in both the areas. They are dedicated to root out this menace from the society.

12. Furnishing of all the drugs consumer/peddler names and monitoring them on daily basis for subsequent actions.

13. Planned for Rehabilitation and counselling measures also after identify highly needy one.

Overall, all the members present were agreed to eradicate the drugs anyhow and make LDV a drugs free soon. Special thanks to Anti-Drugs Committee Kangkong and Parbuk for fighting this dreaded disease and voluntarily helping ADS Team in the mission of efforts to make a drugs free district soon.

Come forward and extend your helps in killing this disease ABK, IMCLS, AIMSU, DASU, NGOs and Women groups. Everyone contribution is highly required to make our area free from drugs.

AT PRESENT NO PEDDLER IS ACTIVE IN LDV DUE TO RIGOROUS ACTION DAY & NIGHT BY ADS ROING. But if any one is doing discreetly he or she is already in our RADAR and we will surely bring them to task.

Arrested one peddler by ADS Roing [[24/06/2025]]

Under OPERATIONDAWN 2.0, while acting on an information from reliable source regarding selling of drugs, ADS Team had arrested one Shri. Rohit Tamang from Roing at night hours of 23/06/2025.

ADS team was searching him for long at different places and later found at his rented house at Ezengo, Roing. Accordingly, police team had informed the Magistrate and he arrived at the spot immediately. Then frisking was conducted in the presence and order of the Magistrate Roing as per the laid down formalities needed in NDPS cases. Total 5.36 grams of suspected he**in was recovered from his possession and seized it with proper videography on the spot. A case has been registered at PS Roing with C/No. 34/2025 U/S 21(a)/27 r/w section 3(5) BNS and taken up for further investigation.

Drugs is slowly phasing out from LDV due to strict and regular action from ADS team and PS officers since last few months. Only petty 1 or 2 local peddlers are discreetly doing the drugs job, but we won't spare anyone till we corrected them as NORMAL PERSON.

Carrying out intensive ILP checking and night patrolling [[18/06/2025]]

In last 4 days, LDV Police have detected more than 45 ILP violators and externed them out from the Checkgate after proper formalities before the Magistrate. Every suspected places like construction sites, tea gardens, agricultural fields, market areas etc. are being intensively checked on daily basis. Special Naka was also conducted today at Balijan area and found many outsiders roaming freely there through porous inter-state border roads without ILP or any valid documents. They were taken back to PS Roing and externed out after all the formalities.

Besides, LDV police is intensively carrying out regular night patrolling at every nook and corners of the district at respective PS jurisdictions headed by all OCs and team with constant supervision and participation of SP Roing on the ground. They are trying their best to prevent crimes, maintain peace, secure public and maintain order in the area.

Crackdown on ILP violaters continues [[16/05/2025]]

Today is the 21 days in continuation in mission against the ILP violaters staying in LDV. In last 6 days, total 145 ILP violaters have been detected and registered 14 (fourteen) NON-FIR cases U/S 3 of BEFR Act against them in presence of the Magistrates. They were subsequently externed out from Shantipur Checkgate.

Total 4 (four) dedicated police teams from PS Roing, Dambuk and Roing are continuously executing the works at different corners of the district.

Request every outsider to obey the rules as directed by the Government.

ILP Drives at different places of LDV [[26/04/2025]]

An intensive ILP checking drive was carried out by district police today. Total 102 ILP violaters were found and externed out from Shantipur Checkgate after registered Non-FIR case u/s 3 of BEFR Act as well as imposed fine by the Magistrates.They were strictly directed not to enter back until issue proper ILP from the concerned authority. All the violaters alongwith local guardians were also sensitised about the importance and possession of ILP. Particularly, the local guardians requested not to bring labours without any proper documents or keep their papers updated always. In case of any crime committed by these violaters, onus will also be held upon the guardians.

Such uncheck bringing of outsiders and their unauthorized entry enhances sensitivity and crime rate at manifolds in the district.

This mission will go on till everyone's adhere the ILP norms issued by GoAP.

Rigorous night operations at Assam and inter-state border against DRUGS peddlers and other smuggling activities [[23/04/2025]]

In continuous efforts to stop drugs supply from Assam border, LDV police with ADS team headed by SP Roing had carried intensive night search and operation at Deori basti and other villages of Chapakhowa area. The peddlers from Assam side are discreetly selling drugs to Arunachalee boys and making their life hell. Boys are sneaking at border Assam villages, get injected and comes back to LDV. We are working hard not to let them cross the border by nabbing each and every consumers, but inspite of our efforts these boys are using porous jungle roads in odd ours.

Our clear cut messages to the WRONGDOERS are;

1. No pedddlers from Assam and Arunachal will be spared who make the society hell for their own benefits. We will act strictly.

2. Regular raids will be conducted at Assam side peddlers unless stop supplying drugs even of smallest quantity to LDV side.

3. All the smuggling activities particularly timber and cattle are being checked at different places and corners.

4. We will hunt down and corrected all the miscreants/naughty boys lurking around. You all are under our watch and in red list specially drugs peddlers/consumers and thief.

Public is requested to share anything you find it bad or suspected to be an illegal which need our intervention. Seeing the bad activities but not reporting or stopping is a kind of encouragement to do more.

Sometimes let's talk less and act more as saying goes "ACTION IS MORE LOUDER THAN THE WORDS". With this believe, your cooperation will certainly bring our district in order as well as drugs free. Roing police seized 3 (three) Bolero Campers laden with khatta/khair logs at Dongku-Balijan area of Bhismaknagar [[15/04/2025]]

As per the reliable sources, the timber smuggling was going on at Dongku area under Korunu Circle and smugglers executed the transportation of logs at night hours. Accordingly, a team of Roing police was on mission to unearth the reality and checking at border areas. In the meantime, while they were on patrolling 3 (three) bolero campers bearing registration (1) AS -23CC- 9133 driven by Shri. Manoj Kumar Sahani, (2) AS - 23CC 9398 driven by Shri. Bittu Tanti and (3) AS- 23DC - 2689 driven by Shri. Anjay Saha were intercepted at Dongku line at around 8.45 pm yesterday. The police team stopped them and found loaded with khatta/khair (Acacia catechu) of around 450-500 pieces of logs in their vehicles. Upon enquiry to produce TP (Transit Permit), nobody could produce the same and confessed as illegal logs. As per the procedure, RFO Korunu was informed over phone from the spot. He declared the same logs as illegal after proper verification. They did not follow any norms nor have any documents for transporting those logs specially shouldn't be transported at night hours.

They were rampantly carrying out smuggling of khatta/khair logs as well as other timber also in both Lohit and Lower Dibang Valley border areas particularly at Balijan area. As told to the police and forest officers that there are many people involved in this timber smuggling and transported the logs towards Assam.

Accordingly, a case has been registered at PS Roing U/S 303(2)/3(5) BNS r/w 25(d) AFR Act against the accused Shri. Alen Perme of Machiyano village and Shri. Rajen Pegu of Dongku village. All the known accused will be taken into task for committing forest offences as per the prevailing laws. More than 30 cases against illegal timber smuggling under AFR Act has been registered in last 5 years by LDV Police. This is fourth case within 2 months against forest punishable offences.

Observation of FIRE SAFETY WEEK 2025 began today [[14/04/2025]]

Fire disasters either man-made or natural caused unforgettable losses to the family, fauna and flora. There is need of strict precautions to prevent and avoid fire accidents. In view of this, public are being always imparted awareness how to control fire accident in and around own places. It is mandatory to place fire extinguisher equipments at government, private and public buildings to handle fire related cases.

Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) Roing have started observation of FIRE SAFETY WEEK to aware public about fire safety and it's precautions in the district. In all, phamplets were distributed at different places and conducted rally at township. Besides, awareness were imparted to public by the Fire Services staffs visiting different establishments and shops.

Let us stop fire accidents by taking proper fire safety measuress in our area. Do call us anytime for help to mitigate this problem.

LDV Police conducted series of traffic and POCSO awareness programmes [[26/03/2025]]

We are always stands for the safety of drivers and pedestrians. Indeed, putting best efforts to prevent accidents in every roads of Lower Dibang Valley. Only understanding and awareness by public/riders/drivers in obeying traffic rules should be in mind to solve almost 95% of acciden cases. In this efforts, LDV police held series of TRAFFIC, POCSO and DURGS awareness campaigns;

1. On 18/03/2025, a traffic awareness campaign was held at ITI Roing and imparted how to follow traffic rules. Total 5 free helmets were given to the students on lottery draw to encourage them to put helment while riding two wheelers.

2. On 19/03/2025, a traffic awareness campaign was conducted at B.Ed College, Kebali and shared many things to be disciplined on the road while driving vehicles. Also distributed free helmets randomly to 5 students as mark of encouragement.

3. On 26/03/2025, also held traffic cm POCSO case awareness at Polytechnic College Roing and shared issues related to sexual harassment and traffic rules.

4. On 26/03/2025, an awareness program on traffic rules cm FREE HELMET DISTRIBUTION initiated by SP Roing was held near Old DC Office four-junctions. In this program, total 18 nos of helmet were distributed FREE OF COST. This is an initiative to give lesson to the riders how mandatorily wearing HELMET is important and save own precious life.
