Laxman Jhula

Laxman Jhula Lakshman Jhula happens to be one of the famous hanging bridges across the holy river Ganga. The jhula is a link in between two important villages in Rishikesh.

It connects the Tapovan village in Tehri Garhwal and Jonk village in Pauri Garhwal.

भाजपा के नेतृत्व वाली उत्तराखंड सरकार अब राज्य में अधिक से अधिक शराब की दुकानें खोल रही है। हाल ही में एक शराब की दुकान गरुड़ चट्टी में स्थापित की गई थी जो लक्ष्मण झूला के पास गंगा नदी से लगभग 100 मीटर की दूरी पर है। प्राचीन गरूड़ मंदिर के कारण यह स्थान बहुत प्रसिद्ध है। रविवार को जन विरोध के कारण बंद किया गया अंग्रेजी शराब का ठेका सोमवार सुबह फिर खोल दिया गया। सूचना पर स्थानीय महिलाओं और संतों ने मौके इसका विरोध करते हुए धरना दिया। दोपहर में उप जिलाधिकारी यमकेश्वर एसएस राणा मौके पर पहुंचे।
