State Resource Centre for Adult Education,Rayagada SRC, Rayagada (Agragamee) is entrusted to provide technical and traing support to the State Governm SRC was established in 2012.

State Resource Centre, (Agragamee), Rayagada is entrusted with 11 Saakshar Bharat and 3 Non-Saakshar Bharat District of Odisha to provide technical and training support to the State Government in the promotion of Adult Literacy with the aegis of MHRD, GoI. Since the literacy scenario in the tribal areas are not so bright in compare to other states of India, which have become a matter of concern. I

n this context, SRC have a crucial role to play by addressing the issues by providing academic and technical support base in terms of providing qualitative, academic and techno- pedagogical resource support to adult literacy program by way of developing teaching learning materials, training, research & evaluation and implementation of innovative and field based programs.

Yesterday SRC Rayagada had organised a sensitization Programme on Saakshar Bharat for PRI Members,SHG Leaders at Gumma GP of Rayagada block.More than 50 participants attended the programme.Officials from the Education Department,Panchayatiraj Department and Local PRI leaders addressed the gathering.

An Interactive wrokshop on Saakshar Bharat was organised by our SRC today at DRDA hall Rayagada.ZP President Sujata Mandangi Rayagada,Vice President ZP N.Sakuntala , Rayagada,BDO Rayagada Shri Dayamaya Padhi,DEO Shri Premananda Rout and others deliberated upon Adut Literacy.The focus was to devise strategy among stakeholders to improve female literacy in tribal areas.
