Coordination Meeting on Trade License Renewal and Subletting Issues

Date: April 1, 2025
Venue: Nandok Saramsa GPK

A coordination meeting was held on April 1, 2025, at Nandok Saramsa GPK, involving all trade license holders from the five wards under the jurisdiction of the GPU. The meeting was chaired by Assistant Director Shri. Nakul Rai, with the presence of the Hon’ble Panchayats,Zilla Panchayat and GPK staff.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to address two key issues:

1. Trade License renewal.
The Assistant Director briefed the attendees on the trade license renewal process, emphasizing the need for timely submission of documents to avoid penalties or cancellations.
2. Regulation of Trade License Subletting:
Concerns were raised regarding the unauthorized subletting of trade licenses to non-locals.
The Assistant Director clarified that trade licenses must not be transferred or sublet without proper authorization. It was reiterated that house owners should lease their premises only to local individuals holding a Certificate of Identification (COI) or SSC and who are unemployed, thereby encouraging local employment.
To further regulate trade activities and ensure transparency, it was decided that:

1. All house owners must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to their tenants, explicitly mentioning the house number in the NOC.

2. This NOC will be a mandatory requirement for obtaining or renewing a trade license.

3.Officials will conduct inspections to verify the authenticity of the NOC and the eligibility of tenants.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion where attendees voiced their concerns.
