On the morning of June 23rd, the dedicated cadets of NCC Group Headquarters Ranchi diligently arrived at 8:30 A.M., punctual and ready for the day's proceedings. They eagerly awaited the esteemed arrival of Group Commander Brigadier VS Yadav, who was scheduled to grace them with his presence at 9:30 A.M.Accompanied by Lt. Col. Parveen Thakur, a comprehensive inspection of the NCC office commenced, discussing the ongoing activities at BIT Mesra. Their insightful conversation lasted approximately 30-35 minutes, delving into the intricacies of the institution.

Subsequently, Brigadier VS Yadav , radiating an aura of approachability and warmth came to meet the cadets. Engaging with the them for a delightful period of 20-25 minutes, he graciously fielded their queries, covering various aspects of army life, motivation, and general inquiries about the armed forces.

As the interaction drew to a close, Brigadier VS Yadav bid farewell, leaving an indelible impression upon the eager young minds. Following suit, the cadets dispersed, carrying with them a collection of cherished memories from this remarkable encounter.

"Unleashing the Power of Compassion!
We stand in awe and admiration as we bask in the glory of our successful blood donation campaign, orchestrated by the remarkable National Cadet Corps of 3 Jhar CTC.

With hearts brimming with selflessness, more than 100 remarkable individuals united on the 17th of June from 9:30 A.M to 3 P.M to contribute their life-saving gift. The dean of students affairs Mr. Bhaskar Karn and ANO KK Senapati also supported the drive. Their priceless act of donating blood embodies the spirit of altruism and showcases the immense power of humanity.

To our esteemed donors, we extend our deepest gratitude for your remarkable generosity. Your invaluable contribution has the potential to heal, save, and transform lives. Your selfless act has not only created an indelible impact but has also inspired others to follow in your footsteps.

Freedom is not given, it is taken".This was the vigilant philosophy of the supreme commander of Azad Hind Fauj, who dared to free Bharat from the sackles of bloody Britishers.

Parakram Diwas is celebrated on January 23 every year, to pay tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who was born on 23rd January 1897, in Cuttack, Bengal Province.
He is remembered as the greatest freedom fighter who sparked the fire of freedom in Indian hearts and formed Azad Hind Fauj to kick out britishers from our motherland.

In India, Vijay Diwas (also called Victory Day) is celebrated every year on December 16. Today our country is celebrating the 50th Vijay Diwas. Vijay Diwas is observed to commemorate the service, valor, and sacrifices of the gallant men of the Indian Armed Forces’ victory over Pakistan in the 1971 war to liberate East Pakistan i.e. Bangladesh. On this day, we pay homage to all the soldiers who had defended the nation in the war.

The Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 which began on December 3 lasted for 13 days and officially ended on December 16, after which Pakistan surrendered to India. It was on this day in 1971, the chief of the Pakistani forces, General AA Khan Niazi, along with 93 thousand troops, had surrendered unconditionally to the allied forces consisting of the Indian Army and Mukti Bahini. The end of the war also resulted in the subsequent secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh.

Today, 3 JHAR CTC NCC BIT MESRA celebrates the 50th Vijay Diwas also called Swarnim Vijay Diwas, and pays homage to all the martyrs.
We salute the brave heroes of our motherland who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and the liberation of our fellow country Bangladesh.

CDS Gen Bipin Rawat was an outstanding military officer who later became India's first CDS and the longest serving 4 star officer.
He was on a visit to Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (Nilgiri Hills) when his helicopter crashed.
The nation grieves on the untimely demise of such a great leader.

Independence Day holds special significance in all our hearts. Not only does August 15 mark the day India gained independence from 200-year-old colonial rule, but Independence Day also serves as a reminder of all the virtues, pride, colourful history, cultural richness, diversity and landscapes which we must all feel proud to call our homeland. It's also the day when we commemorate and pay homage to the courageous sacrifices of our freedom fighters, who fought hard with a worthy patriotic spirit to get their home free of British oppression.

As India enters its 75th year of independence, it's very important that we continue to cherish and practise the same ideals and values our great countrymen held during their struggle to build an independent India.

India will celebrate its 75th year of Independence on 15th August.
Reminiscence of this pious day, India declares itself to be independent in all respects and got freed from the shackles of British imperialism.
The theme for this year's Independence Day is ‘Nation First, Always First’.

Bringing independence to India by freeing it from the British Rule was not easy. And 15th August of every year is celebrated to pay respect to the culmination of struggle, hardships, and sacrifices made by Indians to bring this country freedom.

Let's salute the martyrs who have let her flag flow high in the saffron and prosperous green hues.

Abdul Hamid, PVC (1 July 1933 – 10 September 1965) was born in Dhamupur Village of the Ghaziabad district in Uttar Pradesh, to Mohammad Usman and Sakina Begum. His father was a tailor, and Abdul would often help his father stitch clothes before joining the army.

Hamid was recruited as a soldier in the Indian Army at the age of 20 in Varanasi. He fought in a lot of distinct wars during his lifetime.
Abdul was also appointed as the Company Quarter Master Havildar (CQMH) later in his life of an administration company. In addition to that, he was the best shot at that time with a 106 mm recoilless rifle. This is precisely why the battalion commander wished for him to be back as an NCO of the rifle platoon.

When the war broke out between India and Pakistan in 1965, Hamid had already served ten years in the Indian Army. He was serving as a soldier in the 4th Grenadiers when the news of the war came out.
Hamid was a non-commissioned instructor in the war. There were no anti-tank detachment commanders and hence, he was instructed to take over an entire anti-tank detachment.
Abdul Hamid was one of the main reasons for the victory of India after days of intense fighting.

Abdul Hamid was probably one of the most courageous soldiers during the Indo-Pakistani war in 1965. He fought with a lot of valor and single-handedly took down six Pakistani tanks before he was killed by the seventh. Even though he did not live to see the victory of India against the enemy, his contributions to that victory are remembered to this day.

He was awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously for his dogged determination, selflessness, and raw courage at the time of war and in the face of the enemy.
Abdul Hamid is a popular name amidst military circles today, and he is known throughout the country for his service to our motherland.
