Entrepreneurship Development Cell of BIT Mesra is one of the most active Entrepreneurship Cells in and around Jharkhand. With its magnificent entrepreneurial gathering, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, BIT Mesra is conducting E-Summit'19 from January 19th to 20th. One of its major flagship events - Business Plan Competition in association with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab (Jharkhand Innovation Lab) is around the corner.

Following the success of the first edition of Youth for Business (Y4BIZ) initiative last year, Department of IT & e-Gov., Government of Jharkhand and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab in association with the U.S Consulate of Kolkata has envisaged the second season of Y4BIZ to focus more on ‘Starting a business when you are in college’. This year, a concept of ‘Campus Ambassadors’ is introduced where we plan to identify motivated students ideator with a capacity to lead ‘Catch them young’ campaign in their respective institutes/colleges.
The Campus Ambassador Campaign:
The campaign will be looking for motivated college students to lead the initiative “Catch Them Young” in their respective institutes.
The ambassadors will be selected after their online registration. Selected candidates will have an opportunity to learn from experienced faculty, experts, various facets of starting a business, financial and market knowledge through a 24 hours online course spread over 3 months. The ambassadors will hold college meets to influence fellow students to submit business ideas for the “Catch Them Young” Contest. Mentors and EDC members will be present during such college meets. All the campus ambassadors will be awarded a certificate on completion of the campaign. There will be around 50 ambassadors from 25 colleges of Kolkata, Patna and Ranchi with focus on women participation.
Business idea contest will open for mid of 2019. Selected candidates will get an opportunity to attend a boot camp followed by a grand finale where an eminent jury will select few ideas for incubation support.
This year, a concept of ‘Campus Ambassadors’ is introduced where we plan to identify motivated students ideator with a capacity to lead ‘Catch them young’ campaign in their respective institutes/colleges.
With this background, we are organizing a networking meet in Ranchi on 18th December 2018 at Audrey House, Ranchi; Time: 1 PM – 4 PM. It is requested to provide your support in organising ‘ Catch them young’ and motivate students from your institute to participate.

Catch Them Young Networking Meet is an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs in Ranchi to nurture their skills.

Jharkhand Innovation Lab organised a workshop "Technopreneur Surrogate Venture Startup Roadshow" an initiative by http://technopreneurs.org.in/ , East India's first Mentorship Driven Incubator powered by Techno India Group of Education on 9th October 2018 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. at JIL project premises, New Excise Building, Kanke Road, Ranchi.
