Existential knowledge foundation is an attempt to understand the existential quality of knowledge- the eternal, the universal and the immediate. All the crises that we are facing today emanate from the fundamental cognitive crisis. The root of this cognitive crisis is distancing ourselves from nature - be it healing, learning, or farming! Thus, modern man has become anti-nature and anti-life.
If we are to meet this crisis, we must reclaim the inherent in us and ensure the awakening of inherent, right from childhood.

Similar to all other activities like walking, talking etc. drawing also has stages or milestones. As in play (cognitive activity), drawing also has implicit rules. We have never taken note of this only because we have seen drawing as art, self expression, skills etc.
For children drawing is a means for enhancing observation and developing imagination.

Children and knowledge are the most misunderstood aspects in the modern world.

Natural learning is about creation of knowledge, autonomously, of our contexts. Learning, like breathing, is a choiceless activity as learning is the very nature of LIFE. Life dictates what to learn and has endowed us with ‘how to learn’. Children’s natural system gets developed only if we respect their autonomy. The world awakens their senses, retains their sense of process, and playfulness and ‘instils’ knowledge. This enables them to develop their cognitive foundation meant for creation of knowledge.

Only in existential freedom children can function naturally and spontaneously.

– ONLINE SESSION ON 27 28 APRIL, 7 to 8 pm IST

On the first day,
we will explore the natural way in which children make sense of the world autonomously, based on the NATURE GIVEN SYSTEM. (Natural Play for Children) In such a case children are totally free and autonomously develop their cognitive system.
We will explore the formation of the COGNITIVE FOUNDATION (Journal of Cognition and Culture)which ensures authentic knowledge creation.

On the second day,
We will explore how external interventions of all kinds destroy the natural unfolding of the life-given system which by default is 'creative', 'systematic', and pro-life. (let the children play)
The very act of teaching is detrimental to children as it interferes with natural learning.
We will take up a few salient points of some of the popular educational ‘methods’ and explore what is wrong with them followed by questions and answers.

The workshop is inspired by the retreat on beauty conducted for parents, recently. This realization prompted the idea of creating a workshop to help parents understand and learn from the inherent potential in children.
We found children were exploring things openly and freely exhibiting unhindered creativity. This became an important aspect for us, adults to understand children and to learn from children.
So, the workshop is being planned in such a manner that parents get the opportunity to understand the real potential in children. From the age of 7, children begin to create ‘implicit’ knowledge, if they are left alone to explore the real world.

Provide parents with an opportunity to understand the true potential in their children.
Highlight the shift in cognitive processes between children and educated adults.
Encourage parents to reconnect with their senses, embrace openness, and regain a process-oriented mindset.

The difference between educated adults and children is the following.
Children are using their senses as the cognitive tool, they are developing their ‘process-orientation’ by playfully exploring their respective contexts, they are in discovery mode, open, creative, and daring…..They are learning from the adults around them but educated adults have very different cognitive systems which is for analyzing information which is what they experience during their educational process, their senses are almost dysfunctional, no more openness and exploration.

How is their system different from the modern one that does not create unsustainable knowledge by default and then as an afterthought think about sustainability?

Be with the questions, awaken the senses, be in choiceless awareness

Knowing is the nature of life.

Why one learns, is to sustain life.

What is learned, is species-dependent.

What each species learns, is context dependent.

Where and when, is the context.

The context dictates what to learn.

Content dictates how to learn.

Life itself ensures the continuation of life.

Exploring the Formation of Beingness in Humans--

All living beings are ‘creative’ and ‘intelligent’ beings as the context dictates what to learn. Without the context, there is no existence. Can we imagine the live fish without water? Without the context, there is no human existence. But unlike other living beings human beings need sensitivity and wisdom more than intelligence as our formation is very precarious and vulnerable. Their formation is far more dictated by their respective contexts than other beings. They are born with potentials and it is the context that awakens their possibilities. Life needs to be learned from the living and we are shaped by what we experience.
