सीएसआईआर-राष्ट्रीय रासायनिक प्रयोगशाला (सीएसआईआर-एनसीएल), पुणे, को 8 जून 2026 को भारत सरकार के रसायन एवं उर्वरक मंत्रालय के औषधि विभाग के सचिव, श्री मनोज जोशी, (आईएएस:89), की मेजबानी करने का अवसर प्राप्त हुआ। इस अवसर पर सतत विनिर्माण (Continuous Manufacturing) प्रौद्योगिकियों में हो रही प्रगति तथा भारत के औषधि क्षेत्र को सुदृढ़ बनाने में उनकी भूमिका पर विस्तृत चर्चा की गई। यह यात्रा अनुसंधान संस्थानों, शैक्षणिक संस्थाओं एवं उद्योग जगत के भागीदारों के मध्य सहयोग की संभावनाओं का अन्वेषण करने का भी एक महत्वपूर्ण अवसर रही, जिससे नवाचार को बढ़ावा देने तथा भारतीय औषधि उद्योग की वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता को सुदृढ़ करने में सहायता मिलेगी।
प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने एनसीएल-सीपीआई सेंटर फॉर सस्टेनेबल कंटीन्युअस मैन्युफैक्चरिंग की लिविंग लैब का भी भ्रमण किया तथा विभिन्न परिचालन स्तरों पर विविध एपीआई (सक्रिय औषधीय अवयवों) एवं मध्यवर्ती रसायनों (इंटरमीडिएट्स) के फ्लो सिंथेसिस का अवलोकन किया। इसके साथ ही प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने वेंचर सेंटर का भी दौरा किया और वहाँ संचालित नवाचार एवं उद्यमिता संवर्धन गतिविधियों की जानकारी प्राप्त की।
CSIR-NCL, Pune, had the opportunity to host Shri Manoj Joshi, (IAS:89), Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, on 8 June 2026. During the visit, discussions focused on advancements in continuous manufacturing technologies and their role in strengthening India's pharmaceutical sector. The visit also provided an opportunity to explore collaborations among research institutions, academia, and industry partners to drive innovation and enhance the global competitiveness of Indian pharmaceuticals.
The delegation also visited the Venture Center, and Living Lab of NCL-CPI Centre for Sustainable Continuous Manufacturing and witnessed flow synthesis of various APIs and intermediates at different scales of operations.
