Introduction:
Our institution was established on 15th June 1957 by Shri. Hanuman Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha , Malshiras by the state government of Maharashtara and Sameer Gandhi Kala Mahavidyalaya Malshiras established in Dated 15th July 2004 Department of Higher Education Maharashtra. The Institute is located in the Village of Malshiras, on Piliv-Malshiras Road, College is affiliated to Solapur University, Solapur.

Gender Issues
Being a co-education Institution, we are aware of gender sensitization
The institution has women Forum and Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee which take care of female's problems.
The institution arranges mothers-parents meets, lecture series for women as well as medical check-up camps.
The institution organizes various sensitization programs such as Guest Lectures, Group Discussion, Legal Aspects, political aspects etc through "Elucution Competation."
Solapur University has introduced some topics related to Gender education in the subjects of Economics, Geography, Political Science and Languages etc.

Environmental Education:
Environmental education is an integral part of the university syllabus.
Tree plantation, environmental and rainwater harvesting awareness campaigns are organized by NSS department of Institution
The Compulsory subject ‘Environmental Studies’ in B.A. II, creates awareness regarding environmental issues among the students.
People are made aware of the environmental issues by arranging rally on the occasion of "Vasundhara Day on 22 April "

Human Rights:
Human Rights is a part of the curriculum for Political Science Institution has an active cell under the provision of Right to oath for protection of human rights is given to students on “Human Rights Day 10 DECEMBER”
