Monetary Compensation can be a way to help families of deceased. But those who are still engaged in this dehumanizing practice needs support to rehabilitate this can be done through training and mechanization.

Though local residents rushed and tried their best to pull out the labourers from the pit, they could not save their lives.

These are victims of our system. Manual scavenging is been banned since 1993. Unfortunately, only on papers. Giving financial compensation can only be a way to support their families.
But to prevent such incidents we need to train them about occupational hazards & use of PPE’s.
