Srinagar: Over 37 thousand families were affected by recent flood fury in central Kashmir’s Budgam district with atleast 85 villages being submerged in the region. Moreover, five out of eight tehsils were affected while over five thousand structures were damaged.

People of all walks of life, from all religions and all ethnicities are helping the people of Kashmir in the difficult times, be it the brave youth of valley who worked on the front-line in rescuing the people or the people who contributed towards the relief items including medicines and other things, i saw a lot of contribution from the people in Delhi, Amritsar, Mumbai, Bangalore and other places by non Kashmiris and did a lot of contribution in process of restoration of normalcy. A lot of things have been done and a lot more needs to be done, together "You and Us" can make a difference, help us in reaching the needy and also contribute to the greater cause by any means you can.
