CSC TELELAW: LAST MILE DELIVERY OF JUSTICE THROUGH COMMON SERVICES CENERS.
Regional Event-cum-Workshop under the Tele-Law Initiative of the DISHA Scheme was organized today at SKICC, Srinagar, by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
The programme was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, as Chief Guest. Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, were also present.

Safer Internet Day was celebrated at Circuit House, Pulwama, with the objective of creating awareness about safe, secure, and responsible use of the internet. On the occasion, the District Informatics Officer (NIC) and the District Manager, CSC e-Governance, Pulwama addressed the gathering and delivered detailed presentations on cyber safety, digital security, and best practices for online behavior. The speakers highlighted the importance of protecting personal data, preventing cyber frauds, and promoting responsible digital citizenship. The programme emphasized the need for collective efforts to ensure a safe digital environment for all.

Mr. Faizan M. Khan, State Head CSC-SPV J&K and Ladakh, visited the CSC Center of Excellence (CoE) for E-Governance at Pulwama - a key initiative aimed at strengthening digital governance and citizen-centric service delivery in the district.
During his visit, he interacted with beneficiaries who appreciated the role of CSC-SPV in making essential services more accessible and transparent. The CoE functions as a one-stop digital hub providing G2C services, welfare schemes, financial inclusion, Aadhaar services, utility services, and e-commerce facilities.
He also visited several CSC centres and applauded the dedicated efforts of the VLEs in delivering services at the grassroots level.
A meaningful step towards digital empowerment and transparent governance in Pulwama.

*DC Pulwama Inaugurates CSC Center of Excellence for E-Governance at Pulwama*

Pulwama, January 31:

Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, today inaugurated the CSC Center of Excellence (CoE) for E-Governance at Pulwama, marking a significant step towards strengthening digital governance and enhancing citizen-centric service delivery in the district.The Center of Excellence has been established to provide a wide range of digital services under one roof, aimed at improving accessibility, efficiency and transparency in public service delivery.

On the occasion, District Manager, CSC E-Governance, briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the various facilities available at the Centre, including Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services, welfare schemes, financial inclusion services, Aadhaar services, public utility services and e-commerce facilities.

The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the CSC operators and stated that such initiatives not only strengthen their livelihood opportunities but also significantly contribute to strengthening e-governance in the district.

Dr. Qayoom emphasized that the Center of Excellence would serve as a one-stop solution for citizens to access various digital and public services in a convenient and transparent manner.

He further directed the District Manager, CSC E-Governance, to carry out extensive Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities to create awareness among the public about the services available at the Centre. He also instructed that the rate list of services be prominently displayed to ensure transparency and prevent overcharging.

The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized the importance of leveraging digital platforms to ensure timely, transparent and hassle-free services to citizens.

Among others, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Pulwama; Assistant Commissioner Development, Pulwama; and Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Pulwama.
