The 118th and 119th combined issue of Sarvekshana: A Journal of the National Statistics Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), is scheduled for release in September 2025. This special issue commemorates 75 years of the National Sample Survey (NSS), highlighting its rich legacy and continued relevance in supporting evidence-based policymaking in India.

In this context, we invite original research papers, review articles, and analytical write-ups from universities across India. We, also, look forward to enthusiastic participation from the In-service and retired Officers of Indian Statistical Service and Subordinate Statistical Service. Your contributions will significantly enrich this special edition of Sarvekshana.

The Field Operations Division – Sub-Regional Office, Ratlam, under the MoSPI, Government of India, organized a cycle rally to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s National Statistical System.

The event aimed to raise public awareness about the department’s functions and the importance of data collected through official surveys. Participants were educated on how accurate and reliable data supports effective policy-making and plays a vital role in nation-building.
Citizens were also encouraged to actively take part in official surveys and provide authentic information, thereby contributing meaningfully to the country's development.
