தியாகி இம்மானுவேல் சேகரனார் அவர்களின் பிறந்தநாளில், அவர் வாழ்ந்த வாழ்க்கையையும், அவர் எதிர்கொண்ட சவால்களையும், சமூகத்திற்காக அவர் செய்த தியாகத்தையும் நினைவுகூர்வோம்.

தனக்காக மட்டும் வாழாமல், சமூகத்தின் உரிமைக்காகவும் சமத்துவத்திற்காகவும் குரல் கொடுத்த அவரது வாழ்க்கை, வரலாற்றின் ஒரு பக்கம் மட்டுமல்ல; உரிமையையும் சுயமரியாதையையும் மதிக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு தலைமுறைக்கும் நினைவூட்டும் பாடமாகும்.

அவர் மறைந்திருக்கலாம்… ஆனால் அவர் விட்டுச் சென்ற நினைவுகளும், அவரது வாழ்க்கை உணர்த்தும் பாடங்களும் காலத்தால் அழியாது!
