Impact case 1 -
```The learning outcomes for children improved notably after parents and family members provided better guidance and support. Additionally, the collective initiative of residents 'also' contributed to this positive improvement in learning. Impact case 2 -
HOW to build or maintain the streets in our locally? Residents had their agenda in written form. They discussed and noted their decisions. They approached their ward counsellor, the municipality chairperson... they followed and now their street is constructed. This joint family + resident collective approach brought significant improvements in other basic service areas also.```

राम नवमी की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं!!

जमीनी स्तर से हम-निवासी कार्यक्रम का उत्साहवर्धक अपडेट मिल रहा है। इसे साझा करते हुए हर्ष हो रहा है।

(हमें इस कार्यक्रम के प्रभाव 1-2 माह में दिखाई देने लगा है। सामाजिक उद्यमी की दो सदस्यीय टीम ने फरवरी में पटना के वार्ड 44 में हम-निवासी कार्य शुरू किया। दोनों जनवरी में जमीनी स्तर पर व्यवस्थित प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के बाद शामिल हुए।)

ये पूजा देवी हैं। मुजफ्फरपुर के रहने वाली है, पर पटना में रहती है। इनका कोई सहारा नहीं है। परिवार में कोई नहीं है। पति भी नहीं है। 4 बच्चों की मां है।

इनको मदद की जरूरत है अपने बच्चों को हॉस्टल में डालना चाहती है। जहाँ एक भी पैसा नहीं लगे और अच्छी पढ़ाई हो सके।

हम-निवासी दल ने इनका दाखिला सरकारी हॉस्टल में करवा दिया।

बहुत आसांन थोडा समय देना पडा।

सभी लोगों से निवेदन है सही जरुरत मंदों की पहचानकर उनकी मदद की जाय। सभी जागाह आपसी सहयोग के वातावरण को बढ़ावा मिले।

सरकारी सेवा हमारे लिए है और उसका हमें पूरा उपयोग करना है।

हम निवासी कार्यक्रम के अंतरगत पटना शहर के वार्ड 4 खाजपुरा में निवासी सभा का आयोजन किया गया। निवासियों के बीच निकल कर आया कि नाली बहुत साल से खराब है। नाली का पानी दूसरे के जमीन में जाता है और जमीन वाले रोजाना गली गलाउज करता है। जिसमें लोगों को परेशानी होती है।

सभी लोगों ने मिलकर तय किया कि सरकार के द्वारा बहुत समय लग जाएगा। क्यों हम पांच लोग मिलकर नाली बना ले। जिसमें पांच घर में तीन लोग तैयार हुए। पहला पाइप दिया, दूसरा सिमेंट बालू , तीसरा ने गिट्टी दिया। तीन लोग मिलकर नाली तयार हो गया।

निवेदन है कि सभी लोग अपना विचार दें और सरकार तक यह कहानी पहुंचे।

Resident doing it self including water arrangement, paving, laying pavement block, putting notice against garbage disposal... all these collecting cash contributions, giving their time, labour and skills.

We are happy that residents collectively taken these initiatives.

We can also hear frustration and lack of hope from government that are run on tax payer's money.

Key points from another set of events from ground discussion is present below :
(karyashala charcha at Ward no. 4 and Kankarbagh area in Patna in Feb-Jan 2026):

One karyashala charcha at Ward no. 4
- People end up only putting demands to the authority and their elected representatives, if they do something.
- More concrete discussion may be required for their collective issues.
- They mostly make demands for a new infrastructure;
- Point is that - will this make their all agenda getting addressed?
- Our humble request to resident, is to have agenda based discussions.
- Such workshop must also declare a date for their area Niwasi Sabha. There should be Niwasi Sabha where all residents come forward and all discuss their agendas.
- Our campaign : We resident must take decisions on all types of action points including what resident do, what all does, what is demanded to different govt. agencies and service providers.
- Ham-Niwasi team should move forward on such drive.

Ham Niwasi team interacts with residents, elected representatives, municipalities and leaders.

Ham Niwasi team received one training on Talash key messages from legendary Dr. Vishwendra Kr. Sinha.

In one video, residents shared their experience of interactions amongst their residents. People came forward to act together but only a few continued. People are not ready to contribute financially.

Ham Niwasi team comes across needy people. In one story, there is a single mother having her 4 children. She is not educated and dependent on basic job which she does not have regularly. She is very eager to provide quality education to her children. Let us help such families. We also encourage resident to help them, but here is a big issue as they are not permanent residents of the area but they have moved here and live on rent.

'सामाजिक-उद्यमी' द्वारा अभियान (कटहल-टल वार्ड 4 दिनांक 11 जनवरी 2026). ऐसी चर्चाएं निरंतर होती रहनी चाहिए। सामने आए प्रमुख बिंदु:

- कूड़ा टाइम पर नहीं उठता है
- लोग पेनल्टी का बैनर लगा दिए हैं, फिर भी लोग कूड़ा जहां वहां फेंक देते हैं
- हम निवासियों को लगा रहना चाहिए और नगर पालिका को फॉलो करना चाहिए।
- हमें स्थिति को उसी तरह हल करने की आवश्यकता है जैसे हम अपने घर पर करते हैं, क्योंकि हम अपने घर की तुलना में घर के बाहर अधिक समय बिताते हैं

वहां के निवासियों के लिए सुझाव दें। हम निवासी कार्यक्रम की क्या भूमिका होनी चाहिए? निवासी क्या करें? सार्वजनिक सेवा वहाँ कैसे अन्तरराष्ट्रीय स्तर का हो, कैसे बहुत अच्छा हो. हम अपने घर की तुलना में घर के बाहर अधिक समय बिताते हैं

*11 जनवरी 2026 को निवासी स्व-निदान बैठक से मुख्य बातें:*
(बैठक में 11 लोग शामिल हुए। सभी लोगों ने अपने मोहल्ले के निवासी के तौर पर हिस्सा लिया, जहाँ वे अभी रह रहे हैं। इनमे से 6 लोग सामाजिक उद्यमी के रूप में हम-निवासी दल से जुड़े हैं)
ड्रेनेज सिस्टम का मुद्दा उठा।

• हमारे पास इस बात का जवाब नहीं है कि सड़क के किनारे बना ड्रेनेज सिस्टम बनने के बाद कितने समय तक चलेगा।
(कई को कुछ भी अंदाज़ा नहीं था; एक ने कहा कि कोई गारंटी नहीं ले सकता; एक ने कहा 5 साल; दूसरे ने कहा कि सिर्फ़ कवर जल्दी खराब हो जाता है; लंबी चर्चा के बाद किसी ने कहा कि यह 25 साल तक चलना चाहिए।)

• लेकिन जब हमने चर्चा की कि हमारे अपने घर का ड्रेनेज सिस्टम कितने समय तक चलता है, तो यह बहुत लंबा समय होना चाहिए, 30-40 साल तक कुछ नहीं होना चाहिए।

• ड्रेनेज नाले के कंस्ट्रक्शन के बारे में लोगों ने कहा कि इस्तेमाल किया गया लोहे का सरिया बहुत कमज़ोर लग रहा था। यह बात उठाई गई कि यह आज बना है तो कितने समय तक चलेगा।

```निष्कर्ष: हमारे मोहल्ले में कोई पब्लिक यूटिलिटी बनती है जिसे हम कॉमन सुविधा के तौर पर इस्तेमाल करते हैं, लेकिन हमें उसकी बेसिक चीज़ों के बारे में कोई अंदाज़ा नहीं होता।
- यह कितने समय तक चलेगा,
- सुविधा की क्वालिटी कैसी होनी चाहिए, वगैरह।
- कई बार यह मायने रखता है क्योंकि बनने के तुरंत बाद जैसे सड़कें या ड्रेनेज नाला, उनमें से धूल निकलने लगती है। इस्तेमाल शुरू करने के तुरंत बाद उसका कुछ हिस्सा खराब हो जाता है। इसके भुग्तभोगी हम निवासी लोग ही होते हैं।

- जब हमारे अपने घर के कंस्ट्रक्शन की बात आती है, तो हमें इस पर पूरा ध्यान देना होता है क्योंकि इसकी क्वालिटी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सिर्फ़ मालिक ही होता है।

- लेकिन जब पब्लिक सुविधाओं के कंस्ट्रक्शन की बात आती है, तो बहुत से लोग होते हैं जो इसका इस्तेमाल करेंगे। इसलिए यह कभी दिमाग में नहीं आता कि हमें पब्लिक सुविधाओं के कंस्ट्रक्शन की क्वालिटी सुनिश्चित करनी चाहिए। इसलिए स्थानीय मोहल्ले या पड़ोस से कोई भी क्वालिटी सुनिश्चित करने के लिए नहीं होता, भले ही वे उस सुविधा के यूज़र हों, और ज़्यादातर लोग सोचते हैं कि इसकी उम्र उनके अपने घर की तुलना में बहुत कम होगी।```

• क्या हमें नगर पालिका को सर्विस देने में मदद करनी चाहिए या नहीं? लोगों ने कहा कि हम टैक्स देते हैं, हमें और क्या करने की ज़रूरत है। हम सहमत हैं कि हमें नगर पालिकाओं को हर संभव तरीके से मदद करनी चाहिए क्योंकि नगर पालिकाओं द्वारा दी जाने वाली सभी सर्विस के फ़ायदे सिर्फ़ हमें ही मिलते हैं। सभी निवासियों को साथ आना चाहिए।

• निदान: निवासियों को पब्लिक सुविधाओं की उम्र, मेंटेनेंस शेड्यूल और अगर मुमकिन हो तो कुछ चेकलिस्ट के बारे में जानकारी होनी चाहिए ताकि कोई नॉन-टेक्निकल निवासी भी क्वालिटी की समझ लगा सके। अगर निवासी कोई सवाल पूछते हैं, तो उनका जवाब दिया जाना चाहिए। - आखिरकार, बनी हुई पब्लिक सुविधाओं से अच्छा या बुरा असर निवासियों पर ही पड़ता है।

इस सम्बन्ध में *हम-निवासी कार्यक्रम, या अन्य सामाजिक संस्थान निवासियों की किस प्रकार सहयोग कर सकते ताकि निवासी अच्छी सार्वजानिक सेवा सुविधा प्राप्त कर सके?*
