State (govt.) college of education,patiala Formerly known as the State College of Education, Govt. College of Education is a premier institution imparting education in this part of the country.

The foundation stone of the College was laid in 1955 by the then Chief Minister of PEPSU State Sh. Bhrish Bhan. The campus was inaugurated by the then Home Minister Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant. The college offers B.Ed.(one year) and M.Ed. (one year) regular courses. The intake of these courses is 200 seats and 35 seats respectively as approved by the NCTE. Located in Sylvan surroundings, the college h

as spacious classrooms, laboratories, workshops and well stacked library with more than 30,000 titles. Facilities for indoor and outdoor games, sports and fitness centre are available. Separate hostel accommodation for 140 girls and 120 boys is available.

ਮਿੱਠੜੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਰਾਗ, ਵਧੀਆ ਅਲਾਪਦੀ ।
ਸੋਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਾਉਣ ਮਾੜਾ, ਵੈਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਮਾੜਾ,
ਰੱਖਣਾ ਲਿਹਾਜ਼, ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦੀ ।
ਦੁਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖਾਉਣ ਮਾੜਾ, ਮਾੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਉਣ ਮਾੜਾ,
ਦੂਏ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਜਾਣ ਆਪ ਦੀ ।
'ਬਾਬੂ ਜੀ' ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਫਿਰੇ ਸਿੱਖਦਾ ਜ਼ੁਬਾਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ,
ਵੀਰ ਜੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲੀ, ਤੇਰੇ ਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਾਪ ਦੀ ।
ਬੈਂਗਲੋ ਬੰਗਾਲੀ ਬੋਲੇ, ਪਸ਼ਤੋ ਪਠਾਣ ਬੋਲੇ,
ਆਪ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ 'ਚ, ਕਿਤਾਬ ਲੋਕੀ ਛਾਪਦੀ ।
ਹਿੰਦੀ, ਅਰਬੀ ਤੇ ਤੀਜੀ ਫ਼ਾਰਸੀ ਰਲਾ ਕੇ ਨਾਲ,
ਏਸ ਵਜ੍ਹਾ ਉਰਦੂ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਪਈ ਜਾਪਦੀ ।
ਘਚਲੀ ਜ੍ਹੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਛੱਡ, ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਵਲੈਤ ਗੋਰੇ,
ਚੜ੍ਹੀ 'ਵੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ, ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਸਾਂਪ ਦੀ ।

ਲਿਆਉਣੀ ਸਲਵਾਰ ਤੇ ਕਮੀਜ਼ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਫਿਰੇ ਨਾਪ ਦੀ ।
ਹੋਇਆ ਅਧਰੰਗ ਵੈਦ ਖੰਘ ਦੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਕਰੇ,
ਪੇਟ ਦੀ ਦਰਦ ਨੂੰ, ਕਰੂ ਕੀ ਗੋਲੀ ਤਾਪ ਦੀ ।
ਮਾਦਰੀ ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਛੱਡ, ਗ਼ੈਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਾ,
ਏਦੂੰ ਵੱਧ ਬੇਵਕੂਫ਼ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਗੱਲ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ।

ਭਟਕਦੇ ਅਖਰੋ ਆਵੋ ਕਿ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ ਬਣੋ,
ਤੇ ਲਾਫਾਜੋ ਵਾਕ ਬਣੋ ਕਿ ਵਾਕ ਬਿਨ ਗੁਜਾਰਾ ਨਹੀ
ਕਦਮ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਇਓਂ ਧਰ ਜਿਵੇ ਕੇ ਫੁਲ ਧਰੀਏ,
ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੋ ਮੁੜ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਨਹੀ

final date has been declared today only for convocation after dpi colleges had said yes...dpi colleges is the chief guest and schedule has been changed to 16th march due to dpi's important works...u should be available before 9a.m for rehearsal....RANA SIR is the main organiser and he said that everybody should be there as it is your convocation and specially organised for you as it was dream of every student of state college...
