🚨 Disaster Management Training Successfully Concluded in 5th IRBN 🚨

A one-week Disaster Management Training Programme was successfully conducted at 5th IRBn BHQ, Pasighat from 13th to 23rd April 2026 in collaboration with SDRF, Arunachal Pradesh.

The training focused on enhancing the disaster response capabilities of personnel through both theoretical sessions and practical exercises. Key areas covered included:

✔️ First Medical Response (MFR)
✔️ Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR
✔️ Splinting & Bandaging
✔️ Patient Handling Techniques
✔️ Use of Rescue Tools & Equipment
✔️ Flood Rescue Operations at Siang River
✔️ Rope & Rescue Techniques

All participating officers and personnel actively engaged in the programme, demonstrating commitment and readiness to respond effectively during emergencies.

The training concluded successfully, reinforcing preparedness, coordination, and on-ground response skills essential for disaster situations.

The 5th IRBn, Pasighat, was pleased to host an exposure visit on 18/04/2026 for students of H-Spring Integrated School at the Saksham Centre, 5th IRBn, Pasighat, East Siang.

The visit provided a meaningful platform for learning, interaction, and awareness, including a session on POCSO provisions for children, parents, and staff.

We thank H-Spring Foundation and all contributors for this collaborative initiative towards child safety and community engagement.

A proud moment for 5th IRBn, Pasighat with the inauguration of the KPKB Subsidiary Bhandar and Khakee Vibes Café—two key welfare initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our personnel.

The facilities were inaugurated by Shri Mutchu Mithi, Hon’ble MLA, Roing & Advisor to Hon’ble Home & Education Minister, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, in the presence of senior officers including Shri Apur Bitin, Inspector General of Police (OPS), PHQ, Arunachal Pradesh; Shri Hibu Tamang, Inspector General of Police (Central Range), Arunachal Pradesh; Shri Pankaj Lamba, Superintendent of Police, East Siang; and Ms. Garima, Commandant, 5th IRBn.

🛒 The KPKB Bhandar will provide essential goods at subsidized rates, ensuring convenience and affordability for personnel and their families.
☕ The Khakee Vibes Café offers a welcoming space for relaxation, interaction, and stress relief—strengthening camaraderie within the force.

The Annual Integrated Medical Health Camp was organized on 11/02/2026 at the 5th IRBn Battalion Headquarters.

The camp was conducted jointly by 5th IRBn and East Siang District Police in association with the District Medical Officer, East Siang.

A dedicated team of 13 doctors and paramedical staff from Bakin Pertin General Hospital (BPGH), Pasighat provided comprehensive health check-ups, specialist consultations, laboratory tests, and screening for lifestyle and seasonal diseases.

A total of 393 police personnel and their family members benefitted from the initiative.

The programme reflects our continued commitment towards the health, welfare, and well-being of our force and their families.

The Ld. Director General of Police, Arunachal Pradesh visited the Battalion Headquarters of 5th Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn), Pasighat on 05 February 2026 to review operational preparedness and welfare initiatives.

The Ld. DGP was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the contingent of 5th IRBn, followed by an interaction with officers on operational matters, inter-unit coordination, and personnel welfare.

During the visit, the Saksham Multipurpose Hall and the upgraded Gymnasium were inaugurated, reinforcing the Battalion’s focus on fitness, discipline, and operational readiness. A tree plantation programme was also conducted, reflecting the force’s commitment towards environmental sustainability.

A Sampark Sabha with officers and personnel of 5th IRBn was held, during which the Ld. DGP encouraged professionalism, dedication to duty, and proactive policing.

The visit reaffirmed the commitment of the Arunachal Pradesh Police towards strengthening infrastructure, personnel welfare, and operational efficiency of 5th Indian Reserve Battalion.

**Workshop on Stress Management at 5th IRBN BHQ Campus, Pasighat**

On November 24, 2025, we conducted a highly impactful Stress Management workshop at the 5th IRBN BHQ Campus in Pasighat. Over 70 IRBN officers and personnel actively participated, showcasing the commitment to their mental well-being.

The session began with a insightful counseling presentation led by Mr. Samrat Dev, a Clinical Psychologist from RRU Pasighat, who provided valuable techniques for coping with stress. Following this, participants engaged in a revitalizing Meditation and Yoga session guided by Miss Geyum Dabi, STO at RRU Pasighat.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event a success! Together, we’re fostering a healthier, more resilient community. 💪🧘‍♂️

🌟 **Learning Through Activity at Spring Dale 5th IRBN Welfare School!** 🌟

Our enthusiastic UKG students have been immersed in some engaging and fun-filled activities this week, perfectly blending learning with play!

📚 **1. Singular and Plural Activity:**
We kicked off our week with an exciting activity focused on understanding singular and plural forms. Through hands-on games and group activities, students explored the difference between one and many, making learning both interactive and enjoyable!

💧 **2. Uses of Water:**
Next up, our young learners dived into the essential topic of water! They discussed its various uses in our daily lives, from drinking and cooking to cleaning and bathing. The kids even shared their creative ideas on how to conserve water, highlighting the importance of this precious resource.

🎶 **3. Learning Action Words Through Rhymes:**
To wrap up our fun learning week, we introduced action words through catchy rhymes! The students not only learned new vocabulary but also enjoyed singing, dancing, and acting out the words, making the learning experience unforgettable.

# # Police Sports Fest 2025: “Drugs Free East Siang”

# The Police Sports Fest- 2025, themed “Drugs Free East Siang,” was conducted by the District Police East Siang and 5th IRBn Pasighat. The event, held over two days w.e.f 21.11.2025 to 22.11.2025, aims to promote a healthy lifestyle, sportsmanship, and the vital message of maintaining a drug-free environment within the community.

The opening ceremony was formally flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner of East Siang, Ms. Sonalika Jiwani, IAS in presence of the Superintendent of Police Pasighat, Shri. Pankaj Lamba, IPS, Commandant 5th IRBn, Ms. Garima, IPS, Assistant Commandant 5th IRBn, Shri. Marbi Yomcha, APPS and DySP, Shri. Ayup Boko, APPS along with all the officers and personnel of 5th IRBN and East Siang Police and the participants.

The sports fest features an exciting lineup of events including football, cricket, badminton and volleyball, bringing together the youth from neighboring areas and institutes. Total 422 athelete took participated in the all the events. The participation of various teams has showcased remarkable talent and enthusiasm, reinforcing the commitment towards building a strong, drug-free community.

The closing ceremony was done on 22.11.2025, presided over by Er. Subhash C. Looniya, Chief Engineer Brahmank, who awarded prizes and certificates to all participants as well as winners in each category. This initiative not only acknowledges the skills and efforts of the players but also serves to inspire others to engage in healthy, drug-free activities.

As part of the fest, all participants receives certificates, along with winners in each sport being honored with trophies, showcasing their hard work and dedication. The aim is to not just encourage competition, but to foster a spirit of friendship and teamwork among the participants.

The Police Sports Fest 2025 is a step towards creating a vibrant community free from the grip of drugs, and it serves as a reminder of the importance of sports as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.

🟩 United in Spirit, Stronger Together – Celebrating National Unity Day 2025! 🇮🇳

🇮🇳 National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) 2025 🇮🇳
Observed on 31st October 2025 at 5th IRBn Battalion HQ, Pasighat, in collaboration with District Police, East Siang, to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — the Iron Man of India.
📌 Theme 2025: “Ek Bharat, Aatmanirbhar Bharat” — celebrating unity, strength, and self-reliance as envisioned by Sardar Patel.

The celebration began with the “Run for Unity” Mini Marathon (5 km, 2.5 km & 1.5 km categories), witnessing the enthusiastic participation of over 190 students, women, District Police personnel and 5th IRBn personnel. The run symbolized the message that India’s true strength lies in unity amidst diversity.

This was followed by a prize distribution ceremony where winners were felicitated and participation certificates were presented to participants in recognition of their spirited involvement.

The event concluded with an inspiring address by the Superintendent of Police, East Siang, who highlighted the life and vision of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and urged everyone to uphold the ideals of unity, integrity, and self-reliance — the foundation of a strong and progressive India.

🌟Proud Moment for 5th IRBN Pasighat 🌟Students of Spring Dale 5th IRBn Welfare School, Pasighat have made us proud at the 1st Eastern Zonal Kyorugi & Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2025, held at Engo Takar Dere, Pasighat from 24th–26th October 2025.

Among over 180 athletes from eight districts, our young champions shone brightly: 🥇🥈

🏅 Miss Nuri Gangkak (Class III) – Gold in Kyorugi & Silver in Poomsae
🏅 Mst. Mibom Modi (Class III) – Gold in Kyorugi
🥈 Mst. Kenna Modi (Class IV) – Silver in Kyorugi

Their achievement reflects the school’s commitment to holistic education, where sports, discipline, and confidence go hand in hand with academics.
