In addition to that, the Department also disseminates information of various range of policies and programs of the Government of Goa through their print and electronic media. T

he primary objective of Department of Information & Publicity is to effectively propagate ideals, policies and regulations of the government while carrying out their schemes and benefits to the people. They also help create awareness among the rural people about the welfare measures implemented and which can be imparted to the masses in a productive way.

The five-day “Classroom to Job” workshop, organised by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education in association with Goa Institute of Management, Sattari, gave students an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through sessions on communication skills, AI learning, employability, and job interview preparation.

The programme helped students gain practical exposure, build confidence, and better understand professional environments. Students who completed the workshop were felicitated with completion certificates during the valedictory session.

The District Level Committee, North Goa convened under the Chairmanship of Collector (North Goa), Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS decided on the claims received under Forest Rights Act, 2006.

A total of 37 claims from Morlem village in Sattari taluka were decided.

Out of these 37 claims, 26 claims were approved and 11 claims were Reverted back to Sub Divisional Level Committee for personal hearing to get additional documents.

Ms. Egna Cleetus, IAS, Collector, South Goa,H/c Kushavati District, in the presence of Shri Subhash Phal Dessai, Minister for Social Welfare and MLA of Sanguem Constituency, chaired a committee meeting regarding issues faced by Project Affected Persons (PAPs) under the Salaulim Irrigation Project.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Collectors, Mamlatdars, Talathis and officials from the ISLR and WRD of Sanguem and Quepem Talukas.

During the meeting, individual grievances and pending cases relating to land acquisition, rehabilitation, compensation and revenue records were reviewed in detail. The concerned departments were directed to expedite the resolution of pending matters through coordinated efforts and ensure timely redressal of the issues raised by the affected persons.
