There have been several posts as a tribute to Late Padmavibhushan Awardee, Ratan Tata, who contributed significantly to the TATA Conglomerate. It was a great loss to the society.

It was timely that Kiran Prabha garu initiated a series of podcasts on JRD Tata (and of course, the family) and the mentor of Ratan Tata.

I jotted in my diary (some 4 decades ago) an inspirational quote of JRD Tata on courage:

"When you have to give the lead in action, in ideas-
A lead that does not fit in with the very climate of opinion-
That is true courage."

Engineers' Day in India (15-Sep)

India observes 15-Sep the Birthday of Sir Mokshagundam Visveswaraiah as the Engineers' Day.

Yesterday someone shared a joke on that occasion:
"I don't know why ...
If anything is successful or right it's called "*Engineered*"

If anything is fake or false it's called "*Doctored*".

This has inspired me to share a short article I published in ACM-Software Engineering Notes in 1994, titled:
"Re-Engineer - If It Wan't Engineered".

A humble tribute to those who selflessly sacrificed their lives in the long-drawn fight for

Freedom and Independence over 200 years in the
Modern History of the World.

It is indeed Myracle, with a gigantic population, exceptional diversity, and a conglomerate of religions, languages/cultures, and differentiations, that sustained its journey of 77 years of Independence.

Let's hope it traverses into progress, equality, and common understanding and retains its superior quest for wisdom and truth.
