RESULT ANNOUNCEMENT

The Office of the Cooperation Department, Pakyong District is pleased to announce the results of the Essay Competition organized to commemorate the International Day of Non-Violence.

With participation from 19 Cooperative Societies across Pakyong District, the entries were evaluated by a designated committee following a thorough assessment.

A meeting was held on 29 September 2026 at the District Office, Pakyong, with the Board of Directors (BOD) and CBBO Representative of Cherry Blossom Farmers FPO Ltd., along with the District Head, Registrar and officials of the Cooperation Department.

During the meeting, the RCS Sir provided valuable and insightful suggestions to the BOD and CEO on ways to diversify the FPO’s activities, strengthen its operations, and enhance its income-generating opportunities.

On 29 September 2026, the Cooperation Department, Pakyong District, held an Essay Competition at the District Office, Pakyong, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti 2026, in commemoration of the International Day of Non-Violence.

The competition was organised for members of Cooperative Societies on the theme:

“Non-Violence and Cooperation: The Foundation of a Peaceful Society.”

The initiative aimed to encourage participants to reflect on the values of non-violence, cooperation, unity, and peaceful coexistence, while highlighting the important role of cooperative values in building a harmonious society.

A Coordination Meeting was held on 19.09.2026 at the Sahakari Bhawan, Gangtok bringing together officials for departmental updates, implementation review, discussions, and the way forward.

Pakyong District was represented by the District Head Shri. B.H.P S***a, Registrar, Smt. Nirulata Chettri, Joint Registrar, and Shri Bimal Rai, Deputy Registrar.

The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen coordination, review ongoing work, and discuss the way forward for more effective implementation.

On 18th September 2026, KCC Animal Husbandry Loans were disbursed to 29 members at Padamchey MPCS Ltd.,in the presence of the Managing Committee, Branch Manager, and officials from the Cooperation Department.

The loanees were briefed on the importance of timely repayment, applicable loan interest and penal interest, and deduction towards the KCC share.
