An empanelment camp was organised by the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, at the District Industries & Commerce Centre (DI&CC), Lakhimpur, on 3rd September 2026. A total of 37 artisans belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category participated in the camp. The camp was conducted by officials from TRIFED, DI&CC, and the Department of Handloom & Textiles.The empanelled artisans will be able to sell their products through TRIFED in various national and global markets.

An Awareness Camp on PM Vishwakarma Scheme was organized on 16th July 2026 by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises,Government of India, Government of India, in association with the District Industries & Commerce Centre (DI&CC), Lakhimpur at CMTC, Pohumara.
The programme covered a wide range of topics, including branding and marketing, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for business growth, financial literacy, and convergence of various Government schemes.

Shri Jayanta Boruah, a resident of Dhakuakhana in Lakhimpur district, comes from a rural background with limited income opportunities. With support from the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Enterprises (PMFME) under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, he successfully set up a rice mill and mustard oil processing unit. The PMFME Scheme provides credit linked subsidy of 35% as a Government of India initiative launched in 2020 as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.

The 2nd Zila Udyam Samagam of Lakhimpur district was started on 16-02-2026 at Rajahua Khel Pathar,Dhakuakhana.The event was inaugurated by Sri Apurba Kumar Nath,ACS Co-District Commissioner of Dhakuakhana Co-District,Sri Sewak Chandra Chutiya ,eminent social worker and retd. Professor of Dhakuakhana College and along with other dignitaries.The event was participated by 50 entrepreneurs including PMFME and CMAAA 1.0 beneficieries.
