📢 Training Session on Tuberculosis Awareness
Under T.B. Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – 100 Days Campaign
Dr. D.P. Rastogi Central Research Institute for Homoeopathy, Noida organized a “Training Session on Tuberculosis” on 15.05.2026 under the T.B. Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan – 100 Days Campaign.
The session commenced with an informative address by Dr. Harpreet Kaur, RO(H)/S-1, who highlighted Tuberculosis as a major global public health concern. She emphasized that TB is preventable and curable with timely diagnosis and treatment, while discussing its transmission, burden in India, and socio-economic factors associated with the disease.
Dr. Padmalaya Rath, Hospital Incharge, further addressed the gathering and elaborated on the role of homoeopathic physicians in TB elimination through awareness generation, early diagnosis, timely referral, patient counseling, nutritional guidance, and supportive care.
The scientific session was conducted by the SRF(H) and JRF(H) team of DDPRCRIH, Noida:
🔹 Dr. Kruiti and Dr. Priya delivered a presentation on “T.B. Incidence and Prevalence and Current Trends of the Disease in India & T.B. Elimination Programme in India.”
🔹 Dr. Sheena spoke on “Risk Factors of T.B., Aetiology and Pathophysiology.”
🔹 Dr. Tripti discussed “Diagnosis of T.B., Signs and Symptoms, History, Physical Examination, Investigations, Differential Diagnosis and Complications.”
🔹 Dr. Riya and Dr. Varsha elaborated on “Standard Management, Prophylaxis, Role of Diet in the Management of T.B., Referral, Nikshay Mitra and Nikshay Portal.”
The session concluded with valuable remarks by Dr. Shahji Kumar, Officer Incharge, who emphasized the responsibility of doctors in achieving TB elimination goals and highlighted how homoeopathic professionals can actively contribute towards a TB-Free India. 🇮🇳
