It has the primary objective of implementation of Part IX of the Constitution, extend provisions of Panchayats in Fifth Schedule Areas through PESA and implement flagship programmes such as RGPSA and BRGF. Since under the scheme of things in the Constitution, most of the actions including framing of laws rests with the State Government, the Ministry strives to reach its goals primarily through advocacy and through financial support.

| Addressing the gathering at the National Panchayat Awards ceremony in , Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Hon’ble Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, congratulated the award-winning Panchayats and Panchayat representatives for their outstanding contributions to grassroots governance and rural development.

He emphasized that strong, capable, and self-reliant Panchayats form the foundation of a vibrant democracy and noted that the achievements of the awardee Panchayats serve as inspiring examples of innovation, transparency, public participation, and commitment to community welfare. He encouraged the awardees to share their experiences and continue motivating other Panchayats to pursue excellence in local governance.

Highlighting the Government’s sustained efforts towards strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions, he reiterated the importance of empowering Panchayats with the resources, capacity, and institutional support necessary to drive inclusive and sustainable development at the grassroots level, in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat.

| श्री राजीव रंजन सिंह उर्फ ललन सिंह, माननीय केंद्रीय मंत्री, पंचायती राज मंत्रालय ने नई दिल्ली स्थित स्कोप कन्वेंशन सेंटर में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय पंचायत पुरस्कार समारोह को संबोधित किया।

अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने सभी पुरस्कार विजेता पंचायतों को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि यह सम्मान पंचायतों द्वारा किए गए उत्कृष्ट कार्यों, जनसेवा और विकास के प्रति उनकी प्रतिबद्धता का प्रमाण है। उन्होंने कहा कि पंचायतें लोकतंत्र की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण इकाई हैं और विकसित भारत के निर्माण में उनकी भूमिका अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है।

उन्होंने पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों से आग्रह किया कि वे अपने अनुभवों और सफल पहलों को अन्य पंचायतों के साथ साझा करें, ताकि अधिक से अधिक पंचायतें उनसे प्रेरणा लेकर विकास के नए आयाम स्थापित कर सकें। उन्होंने पंचायतों में महिलाओं की बढ़ती भागीदारी की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह ग्रामीण नेतृत्व और महिला सशक्तिकरण का सशक्त उदाहरण है। साथ ही, उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार पंचायतों को और अधिक सशक्त तथा आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए निरंतर प्रयास कर रही है।

| Addressing Panchayat representatives, officials, and distinguished guests at the National Panchayat Awards ceremony, Shri Vivek Bharadwaj, Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, underscored the importance of strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions as effective drivers for local governance and sustainable development.

He highlighted that the National Panchayat Awards serve as an important platform for promoting excellence in governance, service delivery, and community-led development, while encouraging Panchayats to contribute actively towards the achievement of Localisation of Sustainable Development Goals. He also underlined the significance of the Panchayat Advancement Index in supporting transparent and evidence-based assessment processes.

Noting the strong representation of women-led Panchayats among the awardees, he observed that their achievements reflect the growing contribution of women leadership in shaping responsive, inclusive, and development-oriented local governance.

| श्री विवेक भारद्वाज, सचिव, पंचायती राज मंत्रालय ने नई दिल्ली स्थित स्कोप कन्वेंशन सेंटर में आयोजित राष्ट्रीय पंचायत पुरस्कार समारोह को संबोधित किया।

अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने सभी पुरस्कार विजेता पंचायतों को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि पंचायतें ग्रामीण विकास, जनसेवा और सुशासन को मजबूत बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा रही हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि राष्ट्रीय पंचायत पुरस्कार पंचायतों द्वारा किए गए उत्कृष्ट कार्यों को पहचान देने के साथ-साथ अन्य पंचायतों को भी बेहतर कार्य करने के लिए प्रेरित करते हैं।
