A milestone for Tripura’s organic rice exports.

APEDA facilitated the flag-off of 18 MT of NPOP-certified ethnic rice from Tripura for export to Austria and the Netherlands, opening new international market opportunities for the State’s farmers and Farmer Producer Companies.

The consignment features four distinctive varieties, Aromatic Kalik Khasa Rice, Aromatic Harinarayan Rice, Biron Rice (White Sticky Rice) and Maimi Hanga Rice (Black Rice).

The initiative strengthens the connection between Tripura’s farming communities and global markets, while showcasing the State’s rich diversity of organic and traditional agricultural products.

From Tripura’s farms to European markets, India’s agricultural diversity continues to reach the world.
