🇵🇪✨ On July 28, the Embassy of Peru in India proudly organized the projection of the Peruvian flag onto the iconic Qutub Minar, one of India's most celebrated historical landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Built in the 13th century, Qutub Minar stands as a symbol of India's rich architectural and cultural heritage, welcoming millions of visitors each year. Illuminating this remarkable monument with the colors of Peru was a meaningful gesture celebrating the friendship and strong ties between Peru and India.

This marks the first time in the history of the Embassy of Peru in India that the Peruvian flag has been projected onto Qutub Minar in commemoration of Peru's Independence Day, making this a truly special milestone in promoting Peru's presence in India.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Aman Puri, Joint Secretary for the South America Division of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, as Guest of Honour, reflecting the excellent state of bilateral relations between our two countries. Members of the Embassy of Peru, the Defence Attaché's Office, and the Trade Office of Peru (OCEX) in New Delhi also joined the celebration.

🇵🇪🇮🇳 Celebrating Peru's 205th Independence Anniversary in South India!

The Embassy of Peru in India proudly commemorated Peru's 205th Independence Anniversary with two successful celebrations held in Bengaluru (June 28) and Chennai (June 29)

In Bengaluru, we were honored by the presence of Dr. G. Parameshwara, Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, while in Chennai we welcomed Ms. Sampath Keerthana, Minister for Industries of Tamil Nadu, as our Chief Guests. Both occasions highlighted the growing friendship and dynamic economic partnership between Peru and India.

The events featured a unique cultural performance by Ananga Manjari and Ricardo Delgado, blending Peruvian and Indian artistic traditions through dance and traditional Peruvian music. Guests also enjoyed an authentic Peruvian culinary experience prepared by Chef Julio Castillo, complemented by signature pisco-based cocktails.

The celebrations also included a business and investment promotion session led by José Gálvez Agurto, Trade and Investment Counsellor of the Peruvian Trade Office (OCEX) in New Delhi, showcasing Peru's vast opportunities for Indian companies and investors.

The Embassy extends its sincere appreciation to our Honorary Consuls, Mr. Vikram Viswanath (Bengaluru) and Mr. Ramachandran Dinesh (Chennai), whose invaluable support contributed to the success of these memorable celebrations.

🇵🇪🇱🇰 Peru celebrates its National Day and showcases its world-renowned cuisine in Sri Lanka

From 18 to 21 June, the Embassy of Peru proudly organized the second edition of "Taste of Peru in Colombo" at the prestigious Cinnamon Grand Colombo, bringing the vibrant flavors and culinary heritage of Peru closer to the Sri Lankan public.

Throughout the four-day festival, guests enjoyed an exquisite selection of authentic Peruvian dishes prepared by Peruvian Chef Julio Castillo, accompanied by a curated pisco-based cocktail experience that highlighted Peru's national spirit.

On 20 June, the Embassy also hosted a reception to commemorate the 205th Anniversary of the Independence of Peru, marking the first-ever National Day celebration organized by Peru in Sri Lanka.

The Embassy extends its sincere appreciation to Peru's Honorary Consul in Sri Lanka, Mr. Romani de Silva, for his valuable support. During the event, both the Ambassador Paulinich and Mr. de Silva highlighted Peru's increasing presence in Sri Lanka, the role of Peruvian gastronomy as a powerful instrument of cultural diplomacy and economic promotion, and the promising opportunities to strengthen trade, tourism, and investment between our two countries.

🇵🇪🇮🇳 The Embassy of Peru was pleased to commemorate the 205th Anniversary of Peru’s Independence with a special reception held at the iconic Mount Nepean residence in Mumbai, graciously hosted by Peru’s Honorary Consul, Mr. Feroz Dubash.

The event brought together government officials, members of the consular corps, and business leaders, reflecting the growing strength of Peru–India relations and the shared commitment to expanding trade, investment, and economic cooperation.

Guests also enjoyed an authentic taste of Peru through a curated selection of Peruvian cuisine—including vegetarian specialties—and our national cocktail, the iconic Pisco Sour.

🇵🇪🇳🇵 The Embassy of Peru proudly commemorated the 205th Anniversary of the Independence of Peru and the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Peru and Nepal during a special reception held on 12 June at the prestigious Marriott Kathmandu.

The event brought together senior government officials, business leaders, members of the consular corps accredited to Nepal, representatives of the media, and the international community.

The celebration was made possible thanks to the valuable support of Mr. Sumit Agarwal, Honorary Consul of Peru in Nepal, who joined Ambassador Javier Paulinich in highlighting the strong bonds of friendship between Peru and Nepal and the many opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Guests also enjoyed an exquisite showcase of Peruvian cuisine, including a variety of vegetarian dishes specially adapted for local tastes, prepared by Peruvian Chef Julio Castillo. A selection of cocktails featuring Peru's national spirit, Pisco, complemented the evening, offering attendees an authentic taste of Peru's rich culinary heritage.

🇵🇪🇮🇳 Celebrating the 205th Anniversary of the Independence of Peru in New Delhi

The Embassy of Peru in India was honoured to host the official celebration of Peru’s 205th Independence Anniversary at the Hyatt Regency New Delhi, bringing together over 400 distinguished guests, including government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, media representatives, influencers, and members of the Peruvian community.

We were especially privileged by the presence of H.E. Mr. Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for External Affairs of India, as Chief Guest, reflecting the excellent state of relations and the growing partnership between Peru and India.

Guests enjoyed Peru’s signature cocktail, the Pisco Sour, as well as a curated selection of traditional Peruvian cuisine by Peruvian chef Julio Castillo. The evening also featured a unique artistic tribute to the cultural ties between our two nations, with a captivating performance by Ms. Ananga Manjari, a Peruvian dancer trained in both Contemporary Ballet and Bharatanatyam, and a live musical presentation by Mr. Ricardo Delgado, who performed traditional Peruvian melodies on the zampoña and flute. Together, the artists created a beautiful fusion of Peruvian and Indian cultural expressions.

On April 2nd, the Embassy of Peru participated with notable success in the tenth edition of the Global Fashion and Design Week in Noida, a prestigious annual event that brings together fashion designers, artists, industry professionals, and enthusiasts from around the world to foster the exchange of ideas, collaboration, and development within the fashion and design industry.

The Embassy of Peru’s participation featured the presentation of five traditional outfits from various regions of the country. These were modelled by students from the renowned Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) on a runway before an audience of over 300 attendees, including members of the diplomatic corps, fashion designers, journalists, and students in related fields.

Additionally, Indian designer showcased collections inspired by Peru, incorporating a modern twist. The exhibition of these outfits was met with great enthusiasm and acclaim from the audience.
