दिव्यांगजनों के सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम उठाते हुए, एनटीपीसी टांडा के आरोग्यम अस्पताल ने 5 मई 2026 को एक मेगा दिव्यांगजन चिन्हीकरण शिविर का आयोजन किया।

ALIMCO और एनटीपीसी के दिव्यांग पुनर्वास केंद्र (NFNDRC) के सहयोग से आयोजित इस शिविर का उद्देश्य दिव्यांगजनों की पहचान कर उन्हें आवश्यक चिकित्सा सहायता और समर्थन उपलब्ध कराना था।

कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ मुख्य अतिथि श्री जयदेव परिदा, कार्यकारी निदेशक, एनटीपीसी टांडा द्वारा दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ किया गया। शिविर के दौरान कुल 204 लाभार्थियों का चिन्हीकरण किया गया, जिनमें 148 पुरुष एवं 56 महिलाएँ शामिल रहीं।

एनटीपीसी के NFNDRC केंद्र उपचार के साथ-साथ सर्जरी, आधुनिक चिकित्सा एवं कृत्रिम अंग जैसे सहायक उपकरणों के माध्यम से दिव्यांगजनों को आत्मनिर्भर एवं सम्मानजनक जीवन जीने हेतु नई संभावनाओं से जोड़ते हैं।

यह पहल दिव्यांगजनों को मुख्यधारा से जोड़ने, उन्हें आवश्यक सहयोग प्रदान करने एवं उनके समग्र सशक्तिकरण की दिशा में एक सार्थक कदम है, जो एनटीपीसी टांडा की सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व एवं जनकल्याण के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है।

इस अवसर पर वरिष्ठ अधिकारी, विभिन्न संघों के प्रतिनिधि तथा स्थानीय समुदाय के सदस्य भी उपस्थित रहे।

NTPC Lara has launched a CSR initiative, Evoice Samarth, to provide free coaching support to students from economically weaker sections studying in nearby government higher secondary schools. The initiative was launched on 4th May 2026 by Shri Subhash Thakur, Business Unit Head.

Evoice Samarth aims to bridge learning gaps by offering guidance in key subjects, helping students strengthen their fundamentals and improve academic performance. As a part of the initiative, NTPC Lara employees will volunteer as mentors, creating a supportive environment where students can learn with confidence.

Beyond academics, it seeks to build confidence, motivation, and a positive outlook, enabling students to pursue their aspirations.

NTPC Barh concluded its three-month sewing training programme for women from nearby villages, reinforcing a strong commitment to skill development and self-reliance.

A total of 45 participants completed the programme. Following the final assessment, three outstanding participants were awarded sewing machines under the Community Development Programme, enabling them to take a step forward towards self-employment.

This initiative reflects NTPC’s continued focus on building empowered, self-sustaining communities.

NTPC signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the District Administration of Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya, for the establishment of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) laboratories in 27 government schools across the district.

Formalised on 30th April 2026, the initiative marks a significant step towards strengthening educational infrastructure and promoting experiential, hands-on learning among students.

The MoA signing was attended by Shri Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya, and Shri Amit Kr. Asthana, Head of HR, and other senior officials from NTPC Bongaigaon.

With financial support of up to ₹1.48 crore, NTPC will set up fully equipped STEM laboratories featuring robotics kits, renewable energy models, electronics modules, and digital learning aids. The project also includes teacher training and maintenance support to ensure long-term impact.

The District Administration will oversee implementation, while NTPC will monitor progress through periodic reviews and assessments.

Through this initiative, NTPC continues to advance education, skill development, and community empowerment by fostering curiosity, innovation, and problem-solving skills among students.

In a major boost to sports development and youth empowerment, NTPC Limited will establish state-of-the-art Archery Academies in the Mayurbhanj, Kendujhar, and Sundargarh districts of Odisha under its CSR initiative, in collaboration with the Sports and Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha.

The foundation stone for the academy at Naranpur, Kendujhar, was laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, on 29 April 2026.

The project aims to nurture grassroots talent in a tribal-dominated region known for its traditional association with archery and to provide professional training opportunities for youth to compete at state, national, and international levels.

NTPC Northern Region Headquarters (NRHQ), under its CSR initiative, distributed Educational Learning Kits to 50 Anganwadi centres in Lucknow, following a proposal by the District Magistrate, Lucknow.

Designed to make learning joyful for young children, each kit includes 19 educational and play items such as chairs, moon tables, blocks, puzzles, tricycles, storybooks, alphabet books, learning sets, maps and more.

The distribution was carried out under the guidance of Shri S N Panigrahi, CGM (HR), NRHQ Lucknow, in the presence of Shri Shreyansh Maurya, District Programme Officer (DPO), Lucknow, and Shri Vijai Tiwari, CDPO.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Panigrahi appreciated the Uttar Pradesh Government’s efforts towards empowering children through education and reaffirmed NTPC’s commitment to supporting initiatives that help shape a brighter future.

NTPC Sipat strengthened regional healthcare through a ₹7.19 crore CSR initiative, reaffirming its commitment to improving lives beyond electricity. The event was organised in the presence of Shri Tokhan Sahu, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs and Member of Parliament, Bilaspur.

With ₹4.27 crore allocated to support advanced healthcare facilities at Kumar Saheb Late Shri Dilip Singh Judev Government Super Speciality Hospital and ₹2.92 crore for new medical equipment at CIMS, this initiative is bringing better diagnostics, critical treatment, and life-saving services closer to people.
