We were privileged to welcome Shri Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, to the 65th National Exhibition of Art at the Lalit Kala Akademi Art Gallery, Rabindra Bhawan, New Delhi.

The exhibition brings together 270 selected artworks by artists from across the country, showcasing the rich diversity, imagination, and contemporary expressions of Indian visual art.

Shri Vivek Aggarwal appreciated the works on display and experienced the vibrant creative energy of the exhibition.

Now, all the artworks are available for acquisition, offering art lovers an opportunity to own a piece of India’s contemporary creative journey.

The Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Kolkata, participated in the 29th National Exhibition at Central Park Maidan, Salt Lake, Kolkata, from 20–23 August 2026.

The Centre showcased a dedicated Sales & Publication Stall, featuring a selection of Lalit Kala Akademi’s publications, offering visitors an opportunity to explore and engage with the Akademi’s rich literary and artistic resources.

A special exhibition on Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram was also presented, showcasing artistic expressions inspired by the timeless legacy, cultural heritage, and enduring values associated with Lord Ram.

An invitation lecture on “Indian Culture and Its Value” by Regional Secretary I/c, LKA, RC, Kolkata highlighted the enduring relevance of Indian cultural traditions.

The Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Kolkata, successfully organised an Art Exhibition commemorating 150 years of “Vande Mataram”, in collaboration with Sanskar Bharati, Paschim Banga, on 20 August 2026 at Gallery No. 2, Second Floor, Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre, Kolkata.

The exhibition showcases the artistic expressions and creative interpretations of “Vande Mataram” through artworks by more than 60 artists, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage, patriotic spirit, and diverse visual expressions associated with the iconic national song.

The exhibition was graciously inaugurated by Smt. Agnimitra Paul, Hon’ble Minister, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Government of West Bengal, as the Chief Guest, in the distinguished presence of Eminent Sculptor Shri Akhil Chandra Das, Guest of Honour; Shri Subhash Bhattacharya, Executive President, Sanskar Bharati, Paschim Banga; Shri Tilak Sengupta, General Secretary, Sanskar Bharati, Paschim Banga; and Regional Secretary I/c, Lalit Kala Akademi, Kolkata.

The event brought together eminent artists, art enthusiasts, and art lovers in a vibrant celebration of creativity, dialogue, and artistic excellence.

The exhibition will remain open to the public till 27 August 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

विश्व फोटोग्राफी दिवस के अवसर पर ललित कला अकादेमी, क्षेत्रीय केन्द्र, लखनऊ द्वारा 19 अगस्त 2026 को सायं 5:00 बजे वरिष्ठ छायाकार श्री अनिल रिसाल सिंह की पीपीटी प्रस्तुति एवं व्याख्यान का आयोजन किया गया।

कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ वरिष्ठ छायाकार श्री अनिल रिसाल सिंह एवं वरिष्ठ कलाकार प्रो. जय कृष्ण अग्रवाल द्वारा, क्षेत्रीय सचिव डॉ. देवेन्द्र त्रिपाठी की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में, दीप प्रज्वलित कर किया गया।

इस अवसर पर श्री अनिल रिसाल सिंह ने नेचुरल कम्पोजिशन, लैंडस्केप, आर्किटेक्चर, ऐतिहासिक स्थलों आदि से संबंधित देश-विदेश के छायाचित्रों को पीपीटी प्रस्तुति के माध्यम से प्रदर्शित किया तथा फोटोग्राफी से जुड़े अपने अनुभव साझा किए।

कार्यक्रम में केन्द्र के अधिकारी, कर्मचारी, कलाकार एवं कला प्रेमी उपस्थित रहे और उन्होंने कार्यक्रम में सक्रिय सहभागिता की।

The programme was graced by Dr. Srimanta Ray, artists and students participated enthusiastically, engaging in thoughtful discussions on photography as a powerful medium of art and visual expression.

The seminar created a vibrant platform for dialogue and appreciation of the photographic arts, and concluded on a high note with the active involvement of the guest, artists and students.

On the occasion of World Photography Day, Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Kolkata, organised a Photography Exhibition at its Permanent Gallery.

The exhibition was inaugurated by veteran photographer Shri Jayanta Saha, who shared valuable insights from his rich photographic journey and offered guidance on the art and practice of photography. The exhibition showcases a diverse and engaging collection of photographs, reflecting varied perspectives and creative expressions.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from artists, photographers, art enthusiasts and members of the cultural community. The exhibition will remain open for visitors until 25 August 2026, from 11:00 AM to 07:00 PM.

Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Chennai, organised a “Meet the Photographers” programme on 19 August 2026 in connection with World Photography Day.

The programme brought together nine eminent photographers and photojournalists—Shri M. Vedhan, Shri C. Suresh Kumar, Shri P. Jawahar, Shri P. Ravikumar, Shri B. Jothi Ramalingam, Shri R. Satish Babu, Shri R. Ramesh Shankar, Shri R. Ravindran and Shri Shiba Prasad Sahu—for an engaging interaction with artists, students, photography enthusiasts and members of the public.

The participating photographers shared their experiences and professional perspectives on photography and photojournalism. More than 100 college students attended the programme.

As part of the programme, the nine photographers were felicitated with portfolios published by Lalit Kala Akademi in recognition of their valuable contributions to the field of photography and photojournalism.
