Some skills are discovered. Some are inherited. And some become a dream worth chasing.

For Jui Sapke, Hairdressing began close to home, inspired by a family immersed in the craft. What started as curiosity gradually became precision, creativity and a pursuit of excellence shaped by years of learning and practice.

From competing at IndiaSkills 2021 to winning Silver at IndiaSkills Nationals 2026, Jui has continued to raise the bar, blending technique with imagination and turning every style into an expression of her craft.

Now, she carries that journey to WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, representing India in Hairdressing on the world’s biggest skills stage.

From homegrown inspiration to global ambition, Jui’s story is proof that when passion meets practice, skill can take you anywhere.

Continuing NSDC’s efforts to strengthen India–Japan talent opportunities, Shri Arunkumar Pillai, CEO, NSDC, engaged with ONODERA USER RUN, a leading Japanese education, recruitment and foreign-worker support organisation, to explore new pathways for Indian talent to access opportunities in Japan.

Building on the long-standing partnership between NSDC and ONODERA USER RUN, the engagement culminated in the renewal of the Agreement between NSDC International and ONODERA USER RUN, further strengthening the framework for collaboration across training, Japanese language development, talent opportunities and industry linkages.

As part of the partnership, discussions focused on establishing the ONODERA Blooming Academy across Skill India International Centres and NSDC International Academy in India, creating stronger avenues for aspiring candidates to develop the skills and language capabilities needed for careers in Japan.

The two organisations will also work towards bringing native Japanese language teachers to India, strengthening the quality of Japanese language training and better preparing candidates for the workplace and life in Japan.

This directly advances Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of deepening India–Japan people-to-people exchanges by creating practical pathways for skilled Indian talent to contribute to Japan’s workforce. Through stronger training in India, better Japanese language capabilities and industry connections in Japan, the partnership with ONODERA helps build the ecosystem needed to realise the target of 50,000 skilled Indian personnel and potential talent moving to Japan over the next five years.

As India and Japan deepen their partnership in skills and human-resource exchange, NSDC is taking forward this shared vision through Shri Arunkumar Pillai, CEO, NSDC’s visit to Japan this week, engaging with government leaders, industry stakeholders, employers, training partners and Indian professionals.

The visit is focused on strengthening pathways that connect Indian talent with opportunities in Japanese industry with skilled workforce, and both nations with a shared future of growth.

The engagements began in Shizuoka Prefecture and Hamamatsu City, with meetings with Mr. Yasutomo Suzuki, Hon'ble Governor, Shizuoka Prefecture, and Mr. Yusuke Nakano, Mayor, Hamamatsu City, to explore strategic discussion around skill development, state prefecture partnership, expansion of Japanese Language through Skill India International Centers to facilitate opportunities for Indian talent in Japan.
