Taking Cleanliness to the Classroom: Oil India with ITDM Leads by Example under Swachhta Pakhwada 2025
As part of its unwavering commitment to national cleanliness goals, Oil India Limited is actively participating in Swachhta Pakhwada 2025, being observed from 1st to 15th July 2025 under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. In collaboration with Integrated Talent Development Mission (ITDM), Oil India is spearheading a series of impactful initiatives aimed at spreading awareness on hygiene and sanitation across the country.
As part of this campaign, Oil India Limited conducted a special cleanliness awareness activity at Ujala Pre School, Sector 15A, and Primary School Atta-2, Block Bisrakh, Noida, with the support of ITDM. The initiative aimed at sensitizing young students on the importance of hygiene and waste management through fun, interactive activities.
A painting competition was organized around the central themes of waste segregation and personal hygiene, allowing students to creatively express their ideas and learning.
During the program:
• Students were educated about the three key waste types - dry, wet, and hazardous waste - along with practical demonstrations.
• The team showcased the dustbin color codes - Blue (Dry), Green (Wet), and Red (Hazardous) - to encourage proper waste segregation habits.
• Live handwashing sessions were held to reinforce the importance of regular hand hygiene among school children.
• All participants were facilitated and encouraged for their enthusiasm and contribution.
• A collective Swachhta Pledge was taken by students, reinforcing their commitment to keeping their surroundings clean.
• To honor the contribution of frontline workers, hygiene kit were given to sanitation worker at the schools.
This initiative reflects Oil India Limited’s strong commitment to social responsibility and its active role in nurturing a culture of cleanliness, sustainability, and awareness among the next generation.
