Taking Cleanliness to the Classroom: Oil India with ITDM Leads by Example under Swachhta Pakhwada 2025

As part of its unwavering commitment to national cleanliness goals, Oil India Limited is actively participating in Swachhta Pakhwada 2025, being observed from 1st to 15th July 2025 under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India. In collaboration with Integrated Talent Development Mission (ITDM), Oil India is spearheading a series of impactful initiatives aimed at spreading awareness on hygiene and sanitation across the country.

As part of this campaign, Oil India Limited conducted a special cleanliness awareness activity at Ujala Pre School, Sector 15A, and Primary School Atta-2, Block Bisrakh, Noida, with the support of ITDM. The initiative aimed at sensitizing young students on the importance of hygiene and waste management through fun, interactive activities.

A painting competition was organized around the central themes of waste segregation and personal hygiene, allowing students to creatively express their ideas and learning.

During the program:
• Students were educated about the three key waste types - dry, wet, and hazardous waste - along with practical demonstrations.
• The team showcased the dustbin color codes - Blue (Dry), Green (Wet), and Red (Hazardous) - to encourage proper waste segregation habits.
• Live handwashing sessions were held to reinforce the importance of regular hand hygiene among school children.
• All participants were facilitated and encouraged for their enthusiasm and contribution.
• A collective Swachhta Pledge was taken by students, reinforcing their commitment to keeping their surroundings clean.
• To honor the contribution of frontline workers, hygiene kit were given to sanitation worker at the schools.
This initiative reflects Oil India Limited’s strong commitment to social responsibility and its active role in nurturing a culture of cleanliness, sustainability, and awareness among the next generation.

Oil India Limited is actively participating in the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 – a nationwide cleanliness drive from 1st to 15th July.

To reaffirm its commitment to social responsibility, OIL, along with ITDM, organised impactful nukkad nataks (street plays) across various public locations in Noida.
These engaging performances not only sensitised citizens about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene but also encouraged mass participation in taking the Swachhta Pledge.
From street corners to marketplaces, the message was clear –
“A cleaner India begins with us.”

Through creative storytelling and live interaction, the public was:
• Educated on the harmful effects of single-use plastic,
• Urged to reduce polythene consumption and switch to eco-friendly alternatives,
• Made aware of waste segregation practices, including composting and identifying wet vs. dry waste,
• Encouraged to keep their surroundings clean and green.
This initiative reflects OIL's unwavering commitment to nation-building and community welfare, consistently supporting causes such as sanitation, healthcare, and grassroots awareness.
Let us be the change.

Continuing the OIL journey towards promoting Swachhata, a dynamic cleanliness awareness drive was conducted at Sarthak Kids Pre School, Khajoor Colony, Sector 45, .

Interacting with over 100 students, the campaign featured:
• A lively drawing competition focused on hygiene and waste segregation
• An interactive quiz on dustbin color codes for dry, wet, and hazardous waste
• Demonstrations to educate students on proper waste disposal
• Practical handwashing sessions to reinforce personal hygiene
• A collective Swachhta Pledge promoting shared responsibility
With every such initiative, Oil India Limited continues to empower communities, shape young minds, and drive behavioral change for a cleaner, more responsible India. Together, we nurture informed, responsible citizens - starting from the youngest minds.

1 जुलाई से 15 जुलाई 2025, पेट्रोलियम एवं प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा आयोजित किया गया है। इसके दौरान और Oil India Limited मिलकर स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाने, अपने आसपास के सार्वजनिक स्थानों में स्वच्छता बनाए रखने और नागरिकों को स्वच्छता की शपथ दिलाने के लिए संकल्पित हैं।
