| El embajador de Guatemala en India, Omar Lisandro Castañeda, recibió en la sede diplomática al doctor Rishu Sharma, profesor de la Escuela de Idiomas de la Universidad Amity, quien compartió su traducción bilingüe español-hindi del Rabinal Achí.

El Rabinal Achí, drama dinástico maya del siglo XV, es considerado un ejemplo vivo de las tradiciones prehispánicas conservadas en Guatemala. La obra fue inscrita en 2008 en la Lista Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad de la UNESCO.

El embajador Castañeda agradeció al Dr. Sharma su visita y su labor de traducción, que contribuye a difundir la literatura y la cultura guatemaltecas en India.

The Government of Guatemala, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expresses its deepest condolences to the people and Government of Nepal for the severe floods that have affected their population, which have left people deceased and more than a hundred missing.

The Government of Guatemala expresses, in these difficult times, its solidarity and support with the people and government of Nepal, wishing a prompt recovery to the injured and their families.

A lo largo de 180 años, el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores ha trabajado con compromiso por la defensa de los intereses nacionales, el fortalecimiento de las relaciones internacionales y la atención más cercana con nuestros connacionales en el exterior.
