🚴‍♂️🌍 The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in India, together with The Delhi Cyclists Club, once again organised the Delhi Bike Rally!

The World Bicycle Day was officially recognized by the UN, thanks to the efforts of prof. Leszek Sibilski, a Polish social scientist who championed the bicycle’s role in sustainable development and cultural connection. We’re proud to carry that spirit forward here in New Delhi!

The rally took participants along the tree-lined roads of Chanakyapuri, past the iconic India Gate, and onward to Tilak Marg. The vibrant atmosphere throughout the ride reflected the growing community of cycling enthusiasts in Delhi. The ride concluded with an opportunity for participants to enjoy a taste of Poland over breakfast.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this celebration so memorable.

We look forward to seeing even more cyclists on the road next year as we continue promoting the joy of cycling and green future! 🚴‍♀️🌳

On 25-26 May, Head of Mission Dr Piotr Antoni Świtalski joined other ambassadors of EU Member States on a mission to Nepal🇳🇵

🇪🇺 The Team Europe was received by Prime Minister Balendra Shah. Dr Świtalski used the occassion to reiterate Poland’s support to the reform agenda of the new government and our offer to share the transformasion experience as well as provide technical assistance. 🇵🇱🤝🇳🇵

The delegation held meetings with members of the Nepalese government, representatives of civil society, business community, experts and the media.

Polish Constitution Day in Bhutan 🇵🇱🇧🇹

This year, the celebration of the 3rd of May - marking Poland’s 1791 Constitution, the first written constitution in Europe - took on a truly special setting: Thimphu.

The occasion was celebrated through music, with a concert by Polish vocalist Michał Rudaś, who brought together Polish and Bhutanese songs. Hosted by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bhutan, Mr. Wangdi Jamyang, in cooperation with the Polish Institute New Delhi, the event gathered distinguished guests, including Minister for Foreign Affairs and External Trade of the Kingdom of Bhutan, Mr. Lyonpo D.N. Dhungyel, alongside other officials and members of the diplomatic corps.

Opening the evening, HoM Dr. Piotr Antoni Świtalski reflected on Poland’s long democratic tradition, its history, and the role of the constitution in building the identity of the nation.

Michał Rudaś then took the stage, stunning the audience with his performance of Bhutanese songs in Dzongkha - a gesture warmly received as a beautiful reflection of 🇵🇱🇧🇹 ties.

Last week, HOM Dr. Piotr A. Świtalski visited Bhutan for a series of engagements strengthening Polish-Bhutanese cooperation.

The visit included the wrap-up conference of the Tax Inspectors Without Borders project implemented by the Polish Ministry of Finance in cooperation with UNDP Bhutan for Bhutan’s Department of Revenue and Customs. The event, organized by our Embassy in honour of the excellent work carried out by the Finance Ministry professionals, reflects Poland’s commitment to sharing expertise and supporting capacity-building in public administration and tax governance.

During the visit, HOM Świtalski also hosted a reception on the occasion of Poland’s Constitution Day, bringing together partners and friends of Poland in Bhutan to celebrate one of the most important dates in Polish history.

HOM Świtalski also met with Bhutan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussing opportunities to further develop friendly relations and practical cooperation between Poland and Bhutan.
